Gyruss was a great game, too.

To me it felt like Tempest and Galaga smashed together.

I Luuuuuuurve Gyrus...every time I used to hit the city, I'd hang on this baby for ages. Earth was always my downfall sad.gif

Galaga is more of a classic but Id always get more $ worth with Gyrus. Everyone else I was with in the arcade used to just get bored and bugger off as I was on my game for quite a while laugh.gif

I had to say other. I never liked video games. (still don't) I always played Pinball machines or shot pool.

Hey D,

Ever play Zenon? wink.gif

My FAVE pinball game!

"try tube shot...."

I also liked Q-bert & Ms. Pac Man And one other that was a 4 player, not sure if it was Gauntlet or not... The 80's are a bit fuzzy for me. wacko.gif

Yep, I actually played a new machine from Bally when it first came out!

King of Kong was interesting in a few ways... it reminded me of the arcade scene back in the early and mid 80s, and the level of competition that always went on... but at the same time the douchebag guy who couldn't be bothered to show up to compete for the world record really annoyed me. He represented every prick in the arcade, who knew he was good and never let anyone forget it, but was always strangely absent when someone was around that could compete with him.

My favorite pinball machine by far is Bride of Pinbot... Space Invaders is second. Star Trek The Next Generation was a great machine as well.

That's funny, I have the first two Williams greatest hits for the PS2, and the first compilation for the PS1. Once I started getting into emulation they have of course fallen by the wayside, but they're fun to pull out and rock on for a little while.

Better known as Stargate. The most complex video game of its time, and probably since. guys who were good at Defender (myself included) got their asses handed to them when this first came out.... ahh, the good old days.....
