Fond memories of the Atari Star Wars sit down arcade game. The cabinet and cockpit looked amazing back then and still do. I wonder what they sell for now.

I don’t know if that’s a normal price or not but it seems steep to me.

I prefer the enclosed version where it’s nice and dark in there.

I did prefer the Return of the Jedi arcade game though. And having said that, I liked the Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom game more than both Star Wars games

I just loved playing Gauntlet with 3 friends at the old arcade in Times Square NYC such good times playing that and hearing great music over the radio speakers

Loved that game for the same reason of playing with 3 pals. Only problem was that it took too many tokens too fast no matter how good you were or how much food you found.

That always made me laugh.

How big is that?

Never heard of some of those games.

Burger Time...what a dumb, wonderful game that was. Spent many tokens on that

300+ games sounds awesome! And 5’6 seems like the standard size or thereabouts from those old school games. Tbh, I’d prefer that than any modern system with graphics and sounds which are 1000 times better

A dogman would be more human-like in appearance. Also, wolves were present in Great Britain in the past so a werewolf even in Camberwell was very possible. That character in the illustration could very well be your ancestor, duck.

Loved this on the Atari XL

I played it on a game console and never saw it on the arcades but I loved Marble Madness as a kid. I would always play it when I visited by older cousin who had Nintendo.

Loved Marble Madness. Upset they did not convert it to the Atari XL back in the day. I had Spin Dizzy which was similar, but the controls were not as responsive. Gameplay not as great.

Marble Madness was another great one in the arcade. The sheer panic in me when I just rolled off a ledge!!!

So, the Legends Arcade is awesome. We've had lots of fun with Asteroids, Centipede, Black Widow, Fix It Felix, Space Invaders, Tempest, Star Wars...

It's funny how the vibe of a full size arcade game makes things fun.

Because it is!

I’d rather stand and play those games arcade style than sit on a sofa with a tiny controller whose buttons I’m frantically pushing with my thumbs and fingers. There’s a certain charm to those old school games and the way they’re played that can’t be replaced.

Defender

Donkey Kong

Frogger

Joust

There were lots of arcades but two I walked by daily, one in the Sheppard subway station and other on Yonge Street, if "LEX" was below the top three scores I had to stop until it was back.

I got in trouble a few times being late for dinner. I also got in trouble for "smoking" but it was the stench of the arcades that hung on me. Later, it was me but I got better at hiding it :)

I don't recall that game, and not listed above.

What was it about?

O my gosh, I can only imagine when I die how much money am going to find out that I spent in the eighties and early nineties. There are too many games to mention that I loved at 1 time or another. I used to raid my paper route bag of money from customers who had paid early. If I could ever find a console that had the games I truly loved I would spend the money on it. Too often they have all these games I don't ever remember hearing of. There was a big arcade in the mall in Norwich Connecticut and I also played a lot at the bowling alley and roller skating rink in town as well. I remember it was 1992 and I was in my 1st and only year of teaching elementary school music. I stopped off at the mall to look at engagement rings for the girl that I was thinking I was going to marry at the time and then went to the arcade to blow a few bucks. All of a sudden I hear "Hey Mr. R!" And I see 2 of my 4th graders, And it hit me that I had been going in there since I was their age. I moved to Utah a few months later and sometime in the next year or so the arcade was gone.
