For fox's sake biggrin.gif

Yeah The Sweet were a great fun band. Like loads of their songs apart from Love is Like Oxygen!! Teenage Rampage is a cracker and probably my favourite, along with Blockbuster.

Great party band. Saw them a few times in the 80's and 90's and it was always a fun night out. Not sure what the lineups were as I think they had a 1000 lineup changes over the years. The Who used to cite them as an influence back in the day.

The best of Sweet has been in my collection for a long time now. In fact this thread reminded me that I missed the Steve Priest (bass) version of Sweet tonight in Santa Cruz at the Boardwalk. Crap! Oh well. 1/4 of the band doesn't really cut it. The Andy Scott (guitar) version only plays in Europe. Brian Connelly and Mick Tucker are long since dead unfortunately. I do believe that Mick had some manner of influence on Neil when Neil was in England, judging by Mick's kits from that era. Definitely a progressive drummer.

A lot of their stuff is hit or miss, but there are some good nuggets in their catalog for sure.

Damn Tangy!

I should take more time off from this Forum!

I come back and there are all these cool old school threads!

I love SWEET!

All of their albums are remastered! They are great.

Speaking of "Ballroom Blitz" check out some KROKUS dude!

Pick up "Headhunter" but on their next album "The Blitz" Krokus does a killer cover of that song.

ROCK ON!

Desolation Boulevard is one of my favorite albums ever.

Mine too, I have two vinyl copies cause I wore the first one out. Good Stuff! It's one of those albums that you sometimes forget about, but when you come across it you're pleasantly surprised at how good it is.

Wow Tangy!! Great hard rock minds think alike!!

I just wrote a thread about the 70's band STARZ and you started one about the great SWEET!

I love this band and I have all of their stuff! The remasters from the UK sound great!

I really don't love "covers" that much but I have always enjoyed "The Ballroom Bliz" by KROKUS!

ROCK ON! 1022.gif
