  9. You think Soler would be worse than Schwarber out there? Horrible break. I was looking for 30 and 100 from him with about a .360 OBP. I was shocked when I heard, the last thing I heard before that was that it was a sprain. I don't follow the Cubs so ...why was Schwarber in the outfield ?
  10. Nice win for the Hoosiers , but it's a damn shame these two don't play anymore during the season.
  11. Rick Pitino sighting here at the semi-state today , no word if he was scouting players or prostitutes . ;) Name to remember Romeo Langford a 6'4" sophomore from New Albany,IN ...46 points today (43 at the end of the 3rd Q).
  12. SUCKIN ON HIS PIPE Starting at the instrumental break it's simply breathtaking but the lyrics are astonishing Sadly the last DT that really excited me , I don't mind the lyrics ...hell I like Kiss.
  13. Well I hope he keeps some hearing , as for other singers ...no thanks already put in for my refund. Hell it took me years to warm up to him as the singer.
  14. Maybe it's different in other major conferences but in the Big Ten the regular season championship is considered bigger and more important than the conference tournament. I echo nap's call for no injuries. Looks like we have to face Purdue in the semis. I expect a loss there, with Rojo out and hopefully Morgan getting some rest for the shoulder. I think IU will get a 3, maybe a 4, though possibly a 2 is within reach if we win the tournament. IU is 11-17 all time so the historical record is against us. In a minor conference, where the sole bid is on the line, the conference tournament is a big deal. For the powerhouses, not so much. They're basically jockeying for seeding. There can be a bit of drama in that mid-performing teams in power conferences can occasionally play spoiler. Even beyond that though, and maybe this goes back to the days when there was only one team per conference that would go, the ACC tournament has always been bigger than the regular season whereas with the Big Ten it was always the regular season that seemed bigger. I remember back in about 1974 when the eventual champion Wolfpack had to win a 103-100 3OTgame vs Maryland in the ACC final just to make the NCAAs where they interrupted the UCLA dynasty for a year. Maryland may have been the second best team that year and didn't even make the tournament. Yeah I'm old and remember that ...crazy to think of that now days.
  15. HOO HOO HOOSIERS !!!! Now comes the stupid conference tourney. Here's to no more injuries in this meaningless tourney.
