Jack Aubrey
Full credit goes to the lovely and gracious Ladirushfan80 for inventing the title "TRF Flick Clique" so everybody give her some love for that if you would please! Tick
"TRF flick clique" Now why does the name of this group sound a little familiar ? One of my favorite movies of alltime is "And justice for all" with the great Al Pacino. The clip below may be my favorite scene in any movie, ever. I highly recommend watching it. Pags
I'd like to suggest lesser known titles which I thought were excellent. The first that comes to mind... China Girl - 1987 http://shopping.yahoo.com/video/images/muze/vhs/sm/02/105702.jpg Starring: James Russo, Sari Chang, Richard Panebianco, David Caruso, Russell Wong Directed by: Abel Ferrara Produced by: Mitchell Cannold, Steven Reuther, Michael Nozik An Italian-American boy and a Chinese-American girl attempt a romance despite a war between gangs in their respective New York communities. ------ Basically it's West Side Story (with more emphasis on fighting than singing and dancing) crossed with Mean Streets
Celine
Tsotsi (because I saw it, loved it, want to see it again, and would love to hear others' opinions on it....BUT...I won't be offended if you guys don't want to do a foreign flick...I'll just pick something else...maybe a CHICK FLICK ) Cel

Rushian King
Even the women are nominating more 'guy' flicks. Is that a sign that female Rush fans don't like traditional 'chick' flicks as much as the average woman? I nominate 10 Things I Hate About You. Mandalorian Hunter
My prospective titles seem awful in comparison to these. One of my suggestions would be watching all three LOTR special editions in one go. Anyone else up for that?

I watched Fellowship a few months back, but started at 8pm and had a few drinks with it. Decided to do Two Towers, then attempted Return of the King, but gave up an hour into it which was 4 in the morning I think I was already developing a hangover. circumstantial tree
"Born Innocent" 1974 movie starring Linda Blair, fresh from having done the Exorcist. It was a low budget film made for TV wherein Linda Blair's character "Christine", a runaway from an abusive homelife is sent to a remand center for juvenile girls where she learns that life is a survival game and that the bureaucratic system can be uncaring. I think the movie was addressing some issues of the time. The movie is raw, realistic, and graphic without the Hollywood gloss. It's a dark movie and somewhat depressing - I think that is what makes it a good film.
