Two festivals coming up:

Be Prog in Barcelona next weekend featuring , among others, The Pineapple Thief, Iamthemorning, Magma, Opeth and Steven Wilson. :dweez:

Ramblin' Man in Maidstone on 23rd/24th July. Bands I'm particularly looking forward to here include :Hayseed Dixie, Hawkwind, Frost*, Headspace, Purson, Whitesnake and The Von Hertzen Brothers.

I'm so jealous of you (and anyone else) going to Be Prog. I can't for a number of reasons but it's the most perfect music festival I've ever seen.

Ramblin Man isn't as good as last year imho and the ticket prices are far too high especially since they put them at full price as soon as they announced who would be on.

Sorry, anyway enjoy them both :D

I'm unfortunately doing things or can't go to the five music festivals I want this summer (well, one of them was last weekend) :(

I agree than RM isn't as good as last year but there are still some good bands playing. I took a gamble and got tickets before they went up to full price. Also, as I have family that live within walking distance of the site I don't have any accommodation costs.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to go to Be Prog- I doubt that there will ever be an opportunity to go to a festival with a lineup like that again. My husband got me tickets for this as a belated birthday present and arranged for me to have time off work (something that I can't normally do during term time).

I'm sorry that you aren't able to go to any of the festivals that you would like to go to this year. Maybe next year....

Yeah, the bands you listed at RMF this year are good but that'd probably be it for me apart from Thin Lizzy and Airbourne. I also do have relatives in Maidstone which is a bit of a coincidence

Next year hopefully I'll go to Be Prog and maybe ArcTanGent depending on the lineup. I'm planning on going to quite a few concerts In October/November/December so that'll be fun :)

A buddy has an extra ticket for the P Gabriel / Sting show. I have my doubts. Think I should go?

I think you should go if you can.

I saw them a week ago in NYC - SO good, they were great separately and together and their back up musicians were so tight. Great show.

Just saw Al Di Meola last week.

Todd Rundgren has a free show in LA this summer. I'll most likely go to that cause I saw him a couple months ago and he was great!

I have a ticket for Anderson Rabin Wakeman - ARW , for this fall. Can't wait to see ol Rick again!

I saw Todd at Brooklyn Bowl last month - SOOO good! He's nuts, but it was a great show!

And now finally Black fuccking Sabbath is about to start playing!

And now I am home! It was a great concert and Ozzy´s voice was good. And the audience was jumping and having fun. And the set list was awesome!

Steely Dan last night, crummy picture. I've never seen them, but they were great and their back up musicians were outstanding. Sick guitar solo in Bodhisattva. Steve Winwood opened, he did a lot of Traffic stuff. SD did mostly all their big hits, which was fine with me.

You could be right. I just don't want to go alone, I only have one friend who likes them but he's got grandkids and so much stuff going on and probably wouldn't be interested in going. I go to a lot of shows by myself, but sometimes that gets old!

This might sound lame, but keep in mind I have somewhat eclectic taste and I didn't pay for the ticket (a friend offered).

Coldplay in a week! Woo! :)

They've been covering David Bowie's Heroes since he died at a lot of their concerts, looking forward to that especially.

I want to see Black Sabbath but don't have a ticket yet.

My next show is next Saturday and that is the Jelly Jam(members of Dream Theater and King's X).
