As much as I love Animals, and even though I've overplayed Dark Side to the point of not really wanting to hear it, it still gets my vote as the top Pink Floyd album. It's perfect.

I get goosebumps when listening to both albums but Animals gives me a few more.

DSOTM is a perfect album in every measurable way.

 

 

It's just that Animals is my favorite. No hard feelings. These are my top 2.

Eliminating Dark Side solely because I'm just really tired of it. It's an awesome album but I could probably go a few years without hearing Money or Brain Damage.

Animals is my GOAT but if it's defeated then let it be the uber iconic album that will still be listened to for many years like classical music has, DSOTM.
