Rutlefan
Not my usual wheel house but there's a few. I'll start with this. This guy was so gifted. What a songwriter. 1. Right Down the Line - Gerry Rafferty
GeddyRulz
"Always With Me, Always With You" by Satriani. (Instrumental that evokes LOVE.) "More Than Words" by Extreme. Overplayed now, but an excellent love song. "In My Life" by the Beatles. "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon.

Lorraine
This is going to sound strange coming from a female, but I have none. I was never a "love song" type.
grep
This is going to sound strange coming from a female, but I have none. I was never a "love song" type. Same here. Though I had a really bad breakup in college and my song for that relationship was "Headed for Nowhere" by Triumph. Because it was headed for nowhere.
Rutlefan
I also really loved "Lady" by the Little River Band. I couldn't name another LRB song though ;) . In honor of Ric Ocasek and his band, I'll add that Candy-O's "Since I Held You" has always been a favorite and was my go-to song when I was going through a breakup with a serious girlfriend (the love of my Jr. High life ). blueschica
This is going to sound strange coming from a female, but I have none. I was never a "love song" type. I'm the same way. My husband and I have "our song", but it's from the 1940's- As Time Goes By. I love it, but it's not the typical love song. There was a time when I was young that songs of losing a love spoke to me more. They are still beautiful songs- I Can't Make You Love Me, by Bonnie Raitt, and Love Has No Pride by Linda Ronstadt. They're both gorgeous songs. I remember them more than love songs, for some reason.
Rick N. Backer
Speaking of break up songs, or "anti-love" songs, that one is a no-brainer for me too. Aerosmith - What it Takes.
Blue J
This is going to sound strange coming from a female, but I have none. I was never a "love song" type. No stranger than a male (right here) who could list a hundred if he had the time. I am sentimental to a fault.
Rutlefan
Here's one that most people here probably aren't familiar with. The writer Dave Gedge usually writes kind of acerbic takes on relationships but in this one he writes adoringly of someone. Great music and lyrics both. http://youtu.be/dyqdBTW0av0 When you push your hair away and stare at me with sleepy eyesI get a feeling here, a feeling I don't recognizeI wanna give you everythingI've been in love but this is worseI want to cling to you and save you from the universe Cos I have fallen in a way I've never done beforeYou're all I need today, I want you and nothing moreAs unlikely as it seems, it's as if you've just appearedout of one of my dreams - I don't care if that sounds weird Cos you're beautiful, and yet completely unawareOh sure I miss my home but I'd live with you anywhere Cos I have fallen in a way I've never done beforeYou're all I need today, I want you and nothing moreAs unlikely as it seems, it's as if you've just appearedout of one of my dreams - I don't care if that sounds weird Edited September 16, 2019 by Rutlefan
