IMO 1976 is one of the greatest years in rock music.

Your top 3 most fave records? For sure you can include 2112 if it's among your faves.

2112 is definitely not in my top 3.

Here I go: 1.Rainbow - Rising

2.Aerosmith - Rocks

3.Steely Dan - The Royal Scam.

Rush- 2112

Heart- Dreamboat Annie

Jackson Browne- The Pretender (while not hard rock, artist/songwriters such as Browne and Linda Ronstadt were put with other rock artists on Pittsburgh stations back in the day and it all kind of runs together for me . . . . )

I recieved my drivers licence and started grade 12 in 1976. I had part time work, a car and freedom that year and was able to enjoy the plethora of amazing music that was available. By the summer of 77 ... three artists and/or groups had made quite an impression on me. 2112 was my anthem for freedom. Hotel California signified the passing of my crazy fun high school days and opened new horizons. David Bowie's Changes One Bowie and particularly Station To Station was the beginning of a new music horizon for me. Music became an obsession for me and has since turned into a wonderful pastime. Destroyer just had to be in there for me. And it was a little painful not to include Jailbreak in mine.

I had the same feeling with Aerosmith and Rocks .. It's a classic, all time favorite

And 2112 .. Lessons and Twilight Zone are good and all, but ...
