  1. Same here. Love it all but the phase 2 stuff is more frequently played.
  2. I am holding off for the official release. I have even been avoiding the pre-release singles too. I did listen to the first two but stayed away after that. I would rather hear the whole thing in context. I never liked having ultra sounds to find out my babies' genders either. :P I'm weird like that.
  3. Always good to see you, dear Catherine! :hi: You come across as a tall woman. Not sure if I can explain to you why that is. Good to see you too. I am a hopeless hermit I am afraid. Oh and a short one for sure. ;)
  4. Oh no! I am so sad by this news. :( How can this be true? :( :(
  5. This whole thing is cracking me up. I can't believe I read this far. Maybe I am hopelessly out of the loop but what the hell is a "spam" thread anyway? Clearly I have no idea. Look at my post count. :P
  6. I bought it on pre-order and am finally getting around to reading it. It goes through chronologically by album with some introduction and then sort of a Q&A with different contributors. I am really enjoying the commentary and revisiting the albums as I come to them in the book. Well worth the money to me.
  7. Glad you didn't miss the show. I saw the opening show for the tour here in Nashville and it was off the charts. I can not wait for Morsefest in Sept.
  8. Jealous!! Can't wait for the North American tour announcement! Hoping for at the very least Atlanta but praying for Nashville. Oh, and in June or July 'cause that's when I am not traveling myself. Sure would be cool to see him in RAH though. Fingers crossed for Nashville! :) Thanks! I'll take it.

  10. Today I set up my booth at a festival where I am vending this weekend. That is the reason I was traveling to MN on Wednesday and Thursday. I hand dye yarn and sell it at festivals and conventions for knitters ('cause someone will ask ;) ) .
  11. I drive that route every year when I go from western Wisconsin to Kentucky. What a BORING drive thru Illinois and Indiana...... True but I listen to books while I travel so I don't care what it looks like. :sundog:
  12. I drove 550 miles from Nashville, TN to Rockford, IL on my way to my actual destination of St. Paul, MN, which I will finish driving tomorrow. I am in my hotel at the moment having a cup of chia.
  13. I may have done the same . . . I love the song. Goosebumps when Ninet hits that note as the drums kick in. I missed out on the deluxe box set with H.C.E. somehow so didn't want to take that chance again. I have only listened to the single once so far. At first I planned to resist until the album release to savor the whole thing in its proper context. Of course that resolve lasted about 1 hour and I caved, LOL! I need to listen to it more actively since the first was over my phone on Spotify while I was folding laundry (LOL). My initial feeling was positive, but for some reason I am ambivalent about how big a role Ninet may play. I mean she has a great voice, sure, but I want to hear Steven. That's why I buy his albums. Am I jealous or something? LOL!
  14. Already ordered the deluxe box set. :yay:
  15. I had a very similar experience. I bowed out with PoW and didn't really come back for a long, long time. I still struggle to like PoW. It's like eating vegetables. I want to like it because it's Rush but it just doesn't grab me much. I know many really love this album and rank it as one of their best.
  16. RTB pretty easily for me. I do like about half of Presto, but yeah the thin production.
  17. I was just getting back into Rush after not listening to them for quite a long time (late eighties lost me at the time) and Snakes was newly released so I bought it as a download. I rarely do that anymore, I prefer physical copies now, it was a phase for me, but I digress. Anyway, I listened to it obsessively for several months and still like it a lot. It's not my favorite Rush album but there are several high points for me; Far Cry, Malignant Narcissism, Working Them Angels, Hold On, Main Monkey Business, Hope (love this one) and Spindrift (yes, you read that right, sue me).
  18. Hi Lorraine!! :hi: I should have read down further for this thread before I thread jacked TonyR's thread. ;)
  19. He's a wierd guy. Even his mother said so in the documentary. I remember reading an interview with him discussing Clockwork Angels and he was talking about the lyrics to Wish Them Well. He said part of the motivation for the song is that he often finds himself cutting all ties to people he'd previously considered as good friends. That doesn't strike me as being normal behaviour! It smacks of bi-polar disorder actually.
  20. You did better than I would. That is not really the kind of challenge I am up for, LOL! I would have skipped the warm up set.
  21. I don't know if "should" is right. People are different and some don't like to be "challenged" by their music. I, on the other hand, DO like my music, and books too, to have a lot to digest. I get bored with music that doesn't have anything interesting going on.
