Segue Myles
Dust in the wind and Carry on wayward son are 2 of the most iconic songs in rock history yet no Kansas? No Jethro Tull yet? Tull is legendary!Styx should be in as wellBut lets make sure Pearl Jam goes in on there first year eligible.I agree with your point 100%, but Pearl Jam does deserve to be a first ballad inductee. Agreed.

Super25Smasher
I hope to see Stone Temple Pilots on the ballot next year. It'd be their first year eligible, and i think they deserve it. Edited October 26, 2016 by Super25Smasher

bathory
I try not to let personal taste cloud my judgment on this very important issue I don't like pearl jam or U2 but I can definitely understand why they would get into the hall of fame before van der graaf generator or gentle giant, ya know?

Rod in Toronto
Oh man...I can't wait for Maiden to be invited in, only for Bruce to show his middle finger to the Hall.
Wil1972
Glad to finally see YES being inducted! Took long enough... Shame they waited until after Squire died. RIP Chris, and Peter Banks
invisible airwave
Nice to see my beloved PJ in there. Perfect timing as my stickman logo hoodie gets in the mail today after ordering it on Cyber Monday. Nice to see ELO and Yes and Nile for his producing work (Lets Dance) as well. Still bummed out that The Cars got snubbed for 2pac. Beastie Boys I can understand since they are an actual rock band and even Public Enemy had some rock in some songs instead of just hip hop but 2pac is not rock.

Are Foreigner and REO Speedwagon next? https://www.google.c...l?client=safari Journey's had a bit longer career, certainly a staple of '80s radio. New_World_Man
It's about time Yes got in. I was going to start a thread about it but even though I feel Yes are more similar to Rush than the other bands that were inducted I decided I didn't want to single them out. Glad to see Journey and Pearl Jam get in. ELO I like less but they deserve it too.

Disembodied Spirit
3 Classic Rock bands got in????????????Pearl Jam and 2Pac were locksAmazing, but that's because Janet Jackson is pregnant and told them she would not attend. So technically they bumped 1 of the 3 rock artists up a year..so a good year for Rock bands it seems
Mithrandir
Pearl Jam should not have been a first ballot inductee. Critical darlings who made solid music. Nothing extraordinary about them.

ReRushed
Joan BaezYesTupac ShakurPearl JamElectric Light OrchestraJourney ELO and Journey are border line HOFers, but they are in. Eno needs to be inducted, especially if someone like Nile Rodgers is in. Both are deserving. The more I think about it, the more Roxy Music deserves induction. Anyway, it's all superfluous and trivial, ain't it? Like the Oscars. Name last year's inductees....
canadianice
Except for Joan Baez and ELO, they're dragging the bottom of the barrel now. I thought they did that a few years ago--------------Jethro Tull?

ReRushed
ELO is basically Jeff Lynne. He's the HOFer, not the band.
