rushfanforever! Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Anyone recognize the woman crying in the trailer? I know I bawled at times in LA; hope they didn't catch that on camera! That looked like one of the organizers of RushCon whose name is Jillian. Not sure if it's her though. Yep, that was her!
dtpoet Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Is there a link to the theaters it will be played in?

Catch The Mystery Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 At the core of the event are Rush’s devoted fans.Personal stories highlight the importance Rush holds in their lives and the lasting impressions of their extensive catalog. Umm......I don't remember Rush interviewing Tombstone Mountainor Lucas...or Johnny Blaze...or ME....Or ANYONE on TRF???Sounds like a scam Hopefully one forum member has made the final cut. She's been interviewed for about 30 mins so I really hope to see her in this documentary :) (And no it wasn't me). Oh, I hope it wasn't that girl who wears the white dress and leaves in her hair. No, it's not Kelly D. Is she also a member here? Although I've got a feeling that we'll be seeing her in this documentary (as well). She's attended quite a lot of shows from what I've seen on Facebook.
furie Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 two theaters by me showing it. Do i go with nicer seats or slightly closer...?
Self-Indulgence Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 (edited) Wow. Gene's in it. I wonder what Rush did that Gene will say that he invented? It should be Ace & Peter instead. Still looking forward to seeing this soon! Edited October 7, 2016 by Self-Indulgence 1

Still looking forward to seeing this soon! Was Heart ever on the bill with Rush? I don't think they were but Rush was on the bill with a lot of bands in the '70s so it's possible. I haven't seen any references. Ann and Nancy were at the induction though so is that what they would be talking about? The trailer clip with them is interesting. 1

Find it strange now they are a 'go to' interview for a documentary.. 1

OldRUSHfan Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I'll purchase it when it's released on Blu-Ray. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Banana%20World/BananaDrumset.gif 1

Find it strange now they are a 'go to' interview for a documentary.. Everyone else seems to have a connection to the band (shared a stage, a friend, worked with them) however tenuous. It almost seems to me that they are trying to legitimize the doc with this there isn't a need. I hope there is something new and not the old-tired stories like "The Bag." I mean 40 plus years of history and that's all you got? Hopefully they just used that to tease to the much better stuff. 1

Still looking forward to seeing this soon! So, is this "A Salute to Kings" thing another new documentary? What exactly is this?It is a 20 minute "extra" that is a mini documentary of other musicians talking about Rush. It is being shown in the theaters along with the Time Stand Still movie. I haven't seen anywhere if it will be in with the DVD package but I would hope so! :) 2
Laurabw Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Well I got my ticket for Clifton New Jersey . No rush con for me unless I either win the lottery or get a job . And I am looking and I do buy tickets so either is possible LOL . 1

Maybe both will happen, then you can be one of those people that say, "I plan to keep working to keep myself busy, even though I won $300 million dollars . . . . " :)

Todem Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) Waiting for the Blue Ray. 16 bucks a ticket down here......this is not Beyond The Lighted Stage which was magical. This feels like an extra bonus feature that should have been on the R40 release IMO. Agree with that sentiment 100%. I have been a steady donor to the Rush machine 33 years strong......but I won't have a double dip by the guys on this documentary. One donation for a blue ray is enough LOL!!! Self-Indulgence Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Got a showing close to my pad. $16. I'm there! 1
pjbear05 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Disappointed by CA DVD, won't get fooled again.
rocketom Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Looks like unreleased footage from the Presto tour included. 1
x1yyz Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Disappointed by CA DVD, won't get fooled again. Sorry, "Won't get fooled again" was by The Who, not by Rush. :P 3
EagleMoon Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Disappointed by CA DVD, won't get fooled again. It's not a concert DVD, it's a documentary. Big difference.
