  1. During the London show he talked about why they couldn't do any UK and EU shows. It was a heartbreaking explanation... I was there and had to wipe away a few tears during the second half of the evening... Pretty emotional stuff... Especially with Alex sitting there by his side.
  2. Someone managed to film the Portsmouth show where Alex showed up :) Just click and follow the playlist :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r03E1saAPD4&list=PLsj3JyxiwP_b4B-uiCFCFgvHBmKRq3hGJ
  3. No code. You can/could also purchase tickets through the venues. They even offer(ed) better seats than AEG!
  4. Wow, just wow... I was there and it was surreal and very emotional as well! Seeing & hearing 3 Rush songs live once again wasn't something I was expecting at all! When the lasers hit the stadium after Ged had introduced YYZ it felt like I was back at one of the R40 shows I attended back in 2015... And then it hit me that it was 2022 and tears welled up in my eyes... I cried all the way through YYZ and I was still crying when Queen performed their opening song. So happy I was able to capture their part of the livestream on my phone after the show had ended so I could see them up close as well since I was seated at the back of the stadium during the show.
  5. Sure, I'll let y'all know :) Hopefully I can bring my pocketcamera with me to the stadium.
  6. I'll be at the London event. I've managed to buy a ticket an hour after the presale had started and even after it seemed it was sold out by that time. I got lucky by refreshing the page for about 100 times and secure a ticket after all.
  7. For me, it was the hug and kiss from Alex. For me, it was the image of Neil listening back to all his old work, for the last time, in the last year of his life... Jeeeebus. He apparently listened to TSS (HYF) a lot: We all knew him as a supreme musician, writer, adventurer etc. But also know he was this. A thoughtful father, reading to his daughter, her head on his shoulder, holding her hand. ‘Freeze this moment a little bit longer. Make each sensation a little bit stronger. Time Stand Still.’ He loved that album. We listened to it often, on 10. I invite you to do the same. Source: http://www.alternati...ark-rush-leaks/
  8. In the thread Geddy: 'There Are Zero Plans To Tour Again' there is a link to a pic on Facebook of the three of them in October 2018: Seems we only had to wait til Friday to find out... https://m.facebook.c...&type=3
  9. Thank you, CTM! I wish that I could live it all again! Me too! Indeed! But I'm glad I was able to go see him twice in one week. Those memories will last forever
  10. Super cool and super nice gesture! :)
  11. Hey Blueschica :) Loved reading your story and seeing your pictures :)
  12. I've been to two signing events in Europe. Signature: If you keep your personal message short, he’ll probably sign it the way you’d like to have it. I wrote The girl with the Dirk bag on my sticky note as my name and he copied that onto the page. I brought my Dirk bag that got me on the R40 DVD with me to the event and during the few seconds I had with him at the signing table I managed to have a short conversation with him about the bag and the DVD. He even remembered the bag from the video. I also gave him a Dirk bag and he really appreciated that. I told him that it was my husband’s idea to bring that bag with me to Toronto and when he signed my husband’s copy of the book (he had only written his name on the sticky note) Geddy added a cool extra note that said Good idea! Super cool!!! :7up: Photo: I’ve helped out a couple of fans who came on their own to the event in Amsterdam. They were waiting in line behind me. I was at the event together with my husband and while he waited with our books after Ged had signed them (the sig has to dry for a least 15 mins) in another part of the bookstore I was able to film them during their 15 seconds m&g. If you’re standing let’s say halfway in the queue then there’s plenty of time to check out if there is someone waiting nearby willing to help you out. Exchange phone numbers so that they can send you the video via whatsapp. The best thing about video is that you can choose which frame is the best for THE ultimate souvenir photo afterwards. Have fun at the event

  14. That's awesome  So happy to see he's back on tour :)
  15. Oh man, what a week it has been! First of all seeing & meeting Geddy in Manchester for the first time ever was already super awesome! But the big cherry on top of my Rush fancake came on Thursday in Amsterdam. I brought my Dirk bag (which can be seen on the R40 DVD) with me to the event for the casual photo moment. And yes he recognized the bag from the video! Man, I was lost for words for a split second when he said that! That was so awesome :7up: I also gave a Dirk bag to the man himself. That was such an hilarious moment We both laughed out loud when I handed him over his own bag (check out my avatar pic, it's there on the table). For those of you who wonder where these bags come from: Dirk is a Dutch supermarket chain. Then after my own 25 seconds with Geddy I was able to hang around next to the signing table a just a little bit longer. That's because I went to the event together with a dozen Dutch super fans (all blokes). They were all patiently (and a bit nervously) waiting at the end of the queue. I managed to film all their encounters with :geddy: That was super fun. He even recognized some of these guys from shows that they've been to over the years because a couple of them are super tall and that led to several short and fun conversations between them. All in all this bonus Rush adventure was an absolutely pricesless experience and I'm so happy my husband filmed my Amsterdam encounter so that I can live it all again
  16. One hour with Geddy & Phil Wilding in Manchester (6/10/2019): http://youtu.be/o-lbS-PGcSE
  17. How about Amsterdam? I've already checked this. 525 km one way. Until he didn't plan some dates in the south of Germany, I think I have to skip the event. It's way too expensive just too see him for a few minutes. There is a Flixbus running from Mannheim to Amsterdam for 31 Euros (one way) on 6/13 and you can get a returntrip on Friday 6/14 for 26 Euros (one way). Would be awesome if you could make it :)
  18. :cheerleader: Ooh yeah ooh yeah ooh yeah :cheerleader: This announcement made my year :ebert: Only two more weeks! Can't wait! So glad he's honoured my Instagram request to come over to Amsterdam ;)
  19. Got my copy from amazon (uk) today! Ordered it on 12/31, but boy was it worth the wait :D Now that the book is available again I'm hoping Ged will announce his UK book tour dates any day now... Am keeping a close eye on his IG feed
  20. Cool question! I noticed his vague answer too. It made me wonder if he doesn't want to be avalanched with offers and huge price tags if he named his holy grail. Didn't someone on here say once that he has Scully, etc. do his buying so that the price doesn't get put way up? It wouldn't surprise me. Scully has videos on the web, so someone could easily be savvy enough to figure out that he's bidding for Geddy. Scully probably has Geddy's 'shopping list' but I think Geddy's got to the point where he's not necessarily starving for a specific holy grail. His collection is very diverse so it's probably more of what strikes him at the moment. As you eluded, a collector is putting themself out there as a potential sucker if he acts too desperate. But I think Geddy would shit himself if he could own Chris Squires white Ricky. That one has been given to his youngest child (Xilan) after Squire passed away. That's nice to hear since she is still very young (see below). Eventually that will likely surface as something that would be sold. It's such a major part of Chris' career that it would be a shame to just retire it from use. https://www.tumblr.c...ch/xilan squire She is still young indeed. Billy Sherwood told me this a while ago. In my heart I hope she'll never part with it later in life.

Didn't someone on here say once that he has Scully, etc. do his buying so that the price doesn't get put way up? It wouldn't surprise me. I think I heard him mention a limited edition Rickenbacker with little lights in it during one of his recent radio interviews. Can't quite remember during which interview he mentioned this particular bass though :o Maybe it was during the interview with the Toronto DJ last month. Oops, that one is already in his collection (I've just listened to that interview again). Just found the answer on https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/geddy_lee_reveals_rarest_basses_in_his_collection__basses_even_he_cant_track_down.html Is there a Geddy Lee Holy Grail of bass guitars? Like, the one you're searching for? The one you just can't find anywhere? "There are a few of those. One of them that I've been looking for, unsuccessfully - which is a bit of a surprise because it's not that old - it's a 1968 Fender Telecaster bass, it's what they call the Blue Flora. "That's one that eluded me. They made two to celebrate the Summer of Love in 1968, basically the body style of the first bass, but they covered one in literally pink wallpaper and the other one in flora wallpaper. "Also, anything from Fender from 1951 through 1964 in custom colors, they're hard to find in great condition. The same with Thunderbirds, which is a bass I never played through my career and discovered sort-of later in life."
