The only thing I was shocked at was you saying that Geezer and Bill are your favorite rhythm section ever because I don't remember hearing that from you until the other day. So naturally my first thought was where the hell did that come from? 😄5 points

The October show in Toronto has been moved to a different venue. It was originally supposed to be at The Opera House (capacity 950) but has been moved to Danforth Music Hall (cap. 1,480) due to demand.2 points

Yes - one other thing I did not mention was that I spent lot of $ at the show. One ticket at the door, $90. One T-shirt outside, another $40. One beer in the venue, another $19 (give me a break, fine with helping pay the salaries of the workers but thats robbery). Needed the beer though as I had puled some muscles in my back and even with some CBD and Tylenol my back was killing me. 4 T- shirts (2 Priest & 2 Sabaton) at the merch booth another $200. A signed copy of Sabaton's album at the merch booth another $75. Not complaining (much). I saved up and planned to spend this $. It was worth it (except the crazy cost of the beer - but even that was worth it in a way). Glad you liked the show as well.1 point

Sounds like a lot of fun! Throughout the spring I've practiced almost exclusively the basics of walking bass. Now it seems to have reached the point where playing a pretty vivid bass line to an easy song like Blue Bossa is possible. I rejoice!1 point

More middle aged unwashed ass men bitching about EVs and cracking the same lame jokes in the comment section of car-related articles. Every day. Deal with it Richard, auto mags aren't going to stop reporting on EVs, including for positive news. "no thanks I already have a toaster" dude, Hyundais EVs would smoke your ratty ass G35 out on the block twice over1 point

If they played Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse or Albany I believe they would get a really good turnout because they would be drawing fans from all over the state who live outside of NYC. There is also the close proximity to southern Ontario so they could get people to come down from Canada who might not want to deal with the traffic going to Toronto to see them. They could probably get a few fans from northern PA too. It's just strange to me that an entire state is just being ignored like that when they've done so much touring in the US. Yes, NYC is huge but there's more to New York than that.1 point

Presto for me might be the first Rush record where there are parts of songs I like within songs I generally don't like. Superconductor is like that for me...the pre-chorus, "Hits you in a soft place..." section is really strong to me. But the rest of it is not at all good.1 point

Pearl Jam- Ten I've mostly listened to Redux for the past few months. But the magic of the original mix is unsurpassed. This is how I fell in love with the band, it doesn't need changing (though...I do love Redux)1 point

Sure, I have. I Love Duck. The movie was fun even though I was a small kid from the Finnish periphery who barely recognized any actor from the movie back then, let alone musicians. But I used to listen to the original Blues Brothers soundtrack over and over again - my sister had copied someone's copy of the tape. It still is a great soundtrack. Steve Jordan would not agree on the greatness when it comes to his drumming. He said he played way too much and way too fast. At 2:06->. Love Steve as well.1 point

Raise Your Hand by Steve Cropper, Eddie Floyd and Al Bell. I really do like James Jamerson's beautiful, intuitive and visionary bass lines on Motown. Still, I've always clearly been more into Stax soul. I love Dunn's earthy, sturdy bass work. This Southern soul/gospel groove is great fun to play. It has a special feel to it, as Stax songs in general. (This song could easily have been on my 27 song list for the summer, since my teacher is a soul music lover, big time. But I somehow came back to Eddie Floyd after many years a few days ago and decided to learn how to play this tune. The whole album Knock on Wood is full of classics. And the Stax catalogue is wide, so I will have a great time digging deeper into Duck's grooves. )1 point

Cannonball Adderley: Mercy Mercy Mercy. One of the 27 new songs that I'm happy to learn to play during the summer. My bass teacher has a very good taste in music, these are all great summer jams. Come August and we'll see how many of these I've nailed.1 point
