  4. France-based Carrefour, one of the world’s largest grocery chains, told customers Thursday it is pulling Lay’s, Doritos, Lipton teas and other PepsiCo products in protest of increased prices. Stores in France, Italy, Belgium and Spain will be affected, multiple news outlets reported. Carrefour, which has more than 12,000 stores globally, did not immediately respond to requests for comment. In a sign taped to certain aisles in stores, the company announced the decision and said it is “committed to lowering prices.”

  12. I did a more extreme version last year with one a day and quickly realized I didn't have time to properly digest most works. It did introduce me to a lot of new music, but most of what stood out had to stand out immediately. I often had to go back and remind myself what some of the material I listened to earlier in the year even sounded like. My new goal is just listen to 50 albums 7+ times. The only rule is the albums have to have been previously unknown to me. It'll be like buying a new album at the store each weekend and sitting with it at home for a week to see if I really like it or not.

  14. So far today .. * White Lion - Mane Attraction ‘91 (10/10)⭐️ for me their best album * FM - Indiscreet ‘ 86 (10/10) ⭐️ 🤔 Not sure if they are known in USA/Canada or rest of Europe ? Great UK AOR/Melodic Hard Rock band 👍 They really should have been much bigger than they were … I’ve saw them live a few times in the late 80’s/early-mid 90s and they were brilliant every time 😎

  15. Yesterday .. * Ozzy - The Ultimate Sin ‘86 (8/10) 🤔 probably my least rated Ozzy LP * Journey - Arrival, 2000 (9/10) It’s a pity it didn’t work out for Augeri

  18. The bit about sending the signal from her pedalboard straight to the PA but also sending another signal through her big amp behind her so she can feel the guitar fascinates me. Not an option I’d ever considered.

  20. I think this was the first radio interview I ever bought in the '80s. Never knew they existed until I found this one at Pier Platters in Hoboken. That was the first step down the Rush interview rabbit hole. They're great to pull out when I'm feeling a bit nostalgic. I'm going to check these out.

  25. Edited a couple entries after discovering some new discographies this year. Adding 2021-23 2021 1. Dream Theater - A View from the Top of the World 2. Iron Maiden - Senjutsu 3. Mastodon - Hushed and Grim Honorable mention CHVRCHES - Screen Violence. It's synth pop but this particular group feels like a real band behind it all and it has this cold unsettling atmosphere that reminds me of Richard Barbieri work. 2022 1. Porcupine Tree - Closure/Continuation 2. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms, and Lava 3. Ghost - Impera Honorable mention Devin Townsend - Lightwork. I feel Devy is kinda winding down on the wow factor for me anymore but this was a pretty good effort. He needs to ditch the jovial choir shtick though. 2023 1. Haken - Fauna 2. Tesseract - War of Being 3. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - PetroDragonic Apocalypse Honorable mention Foo Fighters - But Here We Are. Their best since Wasting Light, and one of their best overall. Fantastic album that just missed the cut because the metal albums this year were SO GOOD.

  37. During the London show he talked about why they couldn't do any UK and EU shows. It was a heartbreaking explanation... I was there and had to wipe away a few tears during the second half of the evening... Pretty emotional stuff... Especially with Alex sitting there by his side.
