Since 2000 then?

Missing the 2000 cut off but still newish:

Lacuna Coil

Nightwish

Within Temptation

Lacuna Coil: 1994 (officially released demo tracks under different name on a metal compilation)

Within Temptation: 1995

Nightwish: 1996

Yeah, but I was going by when their first releases came out. All three are late 90s so they just miss the 2000 cut off.

I put Stone Sour on my list even though the first formed in 1992. But they never released anything until 2002 since Corey Taylor left them to join Slipknot. So, I consider them a 2000s band.

True, a bit like Rush (they formed in 69?).

September 1968, as a matter of fact. ;)

Of course! I wouldn't remember, it was another 32 years before I busted out ;)

Hey, I don't remember it, either- I'm not that old!

Oh, and by the way, I believe you meant 22, and not 32, right? Right.

You're young, but you're not quite that young!

I'm not very good at giving new music a chance but I had to check out The Fleet Foxes back when Geddy was mentioning them in every interview.. its interesting stuff and a nice sounding band!

Tedeschi Trucks Band

Devendra Banhart

Laura Marling

Courtney Barnett

The Temperance Movement

Chris Robinson Brotherhood

Haken

Astra

Almost all of the above have had at least two albums since 2010.

Is that new enough?

I could probably think of more, too.

I forgot about Von Hertzen Brothers :o

And fair to midland?

Oh yes.... although they're broken up now :( so I wasn't sure about posting them

I had not heard that. I never heard much from them but thought they had a good sound.

Keep listening to btbam!

Yeah, it's unfortunate.

BTBAM are great! I'd never heard of them until I saw them live with Haken and they were amazing!

Royal Blood. Best new band since Rival Sons who some might also consider "new".

Temperance Movement?

Royal Blood I thought were good but overhyped.

No, I didn't take it that way at all. Always appreciate new music suggestions.

If you like that style of music should check Dead Daisies too, more of a revolving collective than a static-member group, but pretty good nonetheless.
