vdgg - godbluff

I wondered who would be the first one to mention them!

Godbluff is insane but H to He, Pawn Hearts and Still Life are also amazing.

And thats not even scratching the surface on Peter Hammill. Silent Corner, Cameleon and In Camera are VDGG Albums in all but name really. And then theres the heavier but still proggy Vital live album.

Etc etc

you just out-progged everybody!

Just because it's prog, doesn't mean it's any good and that's a great example, imo.

I dunno, but ritual/nous sommes du soleil is one of my favorite yes songs

Would "Houses Of The Holy" be considered prog ?

No Quarter might be the closest - and I love that song

Sure - Zep dabbled in a few different musical genres (not classical...)

But then again, that was my list, not yours. I disagree completely.
