A lot of folks tried their teeth on War Pigs, from Bathory to (gasp!) Cat Power to the guy in the bedroom across your wall. There are many great takes on the song out there, and many dreadful versions as well.

Why not share some?

This is by far my favourite: although very minimalistic in the approach, it manages to convey the cold-heartedness, the alienated cruelty of "The Generals" and the madness of war.

Another one that comes with Tony Iommi's seal of approval, nonetheless:

Mule certainly was the first thought that popped into my head.

Youtube has this version. Jason Newsted on bass. Too bad Allen Woody had already left us.

Faith No More is the best version.

I enjoy it more than Sabbath's, really. The drums are f***ing killer.

FMN has the best cover :finbar: but it's really tough to cover this. Oh, there's that Bill Ward star shirt again.

Well, some have mentioned it but no one has posted it.

Faith No More's cover of War Pigs:

This might be the best cover of any song ever. They added their own vibe to it but still remained true to the original.
