Crimsonmistymemory
I think I actually posted this comment on another thread but my sometimers (hasn't turned into alltimers yet) will not allow me to find it and copy/paste it so here goes. After all are there any bad rush songs? Some maybe completely wierd but not bad. impo anyhoo Play'em ALL ;-P
GrandDesigner
Alien Shore, Cut To The Chase, or Double Agent would be the only songs I'd like to hear off this album. It's a great one but I can without LTTA, Animate, or Nobody's Hero this time around.
Crimsonmistymemory
Oh yeah ANIMATE!! I have to get my cd out & give it a few (revisit) spins (yeah I know cd old tech LOL) and give this colection a new life at the top of the pile... I love the live cut on Different Stages. JohnRogers
I left Counterparts in the car so I'll better judge tomorrow but so far I'd rather hear more HYF, Presto and Power Windows than Counterparts.
Crimsonmistymemory
It is all a great rotation of awesome music. Thank you Rush!!!

Would be vey cool to see/hear live.

driven_to_xanadu
The more Counterparts the better..Nobody's Hero would be pretty cool even though they've played it before (a LONG time ago).
analog guy
Only something that hasn't been played before.
GabesCavesOfIce
Alien Shore, Cut To The Chase, Double Agent, Sun and Moon, Stick it Out, what great songs that harken back to the 70s on CP. Never understood why it seems CP is not as popular as it should be with the fan base, or why the band keeps picking Animate or Nobody's Hero from this album to play live? Anybody? jamie
I wouldn't mind if they did 3 songs tops. anything more is too much. I'd like to hear Between Sun and Moon, LTTA, and Cold Fire.

Drummerrobin
Cut to the Chase is the only one I particularly want to hear from this album because it's a very good song that's never been done live before. Everything else from it I'll take or leave live. Don't get me wrong, I think as a whole Counterparts a strong album but that's more because of its constancy than any particular songs standing up as really great by themselves. For me, Presto is the pretty much the opposite with some really amazing songs like The Pass and Available Light but also some real clunkers such as Anagram and Superconductor. Disk98
Even in a thread about Counterparts, my beloved Superconductor gets bashed. Really?!
Todem
Even in a thread about Counterparts, my beloved Superconductor gets bashed. Really?! It sucks. And I only can say that about a handful of Rush songs. That is one of them.
Drummerrobin
Even in a thread about Counterparts, my beloved Superconductor gets bashed. Really?! Soz. I was only using it as an example. I just don't like that song very much. But hey, I love Tai Shan! Can we consider that a fair trade?

LedRush
I've just listened to this for the first time a few nights ago, and I'm not sure what to feel about it. Unlike Roll The Bones, all the tracks do seem to leave their own mark and the record is nicely heavy, but much of it just seems to be somewhere between good and great, but not much more. I feel like I should like it a ton, but it hasn't moved me very much. Then again, I felt the same way about Hemispheres on first listen and it ended up growing on me a lot. As for the question, I think I'd like to hear "Nobody's Hero" (this one DID move me) or one of the first three. Ignore the production and listen to the songs. No wait, if you do that you won't ever want to hear most of them again.

I don't mean goofy as in oh that rush so much fun......i mean goofy as in just STOP, lol. Nobody's Hero, Speed of Love, Alien Shore, Double Agent, Cold Fire. Awful. Xanadu
Am I in the minority by saying that I love Stick It Out? If you are, I'm in it with you. I always liked this song a lot, from the moment I heard that very cool opening riff. :guitar:
