Two standout tracks from an album that has nothing but standout tracks.

What a comeback ...

Forget the muddy production, this is to me one of their top five records! The best since GUP! Love it!

I voted for Secret Touch, which is really the only song I like from this album.

 

Just to put things into perspective, I think Freeze is about on par with Witch Hunt. However, Freeze is one of the better songs on this album. Witch Hunt is probably the worst on Moving Pictures.

This is my favourite (Yeah, it's the damn yankee again) RUSH LP because it helped me get through a very long, expensive & nasty divorce. Whenever I hear it, I think of Neil & his book Ghost Rider.

The less said about the truly cringeworthy Freeze, the better....

Until the other day it had been a while since I've listened to VT, and there is no doubt- this album ROCKS Freeze is a great tune, one that I probably didn't hear enough of before. I love the driving force in Ceiling Unlimited too, good stuff!

I voted for "Nocturne." This is one of the toughest choices out of all the albums for me. Vapor Trails is their best album (production issues aside) since Power Windows IMO.

I agree that it's their best studio album in a long time. I'm talking strictly of the number of songs that I like on each album, not sound quality and mixing, etc. I like almost all of the songs on VT and I can't honestly say that about any album since Signals. I love some songs on each of the albums in between, but not from start to finish.

This is how Counterparts works to me. Not a skipable track on that record IMO.

I dig every song. Ghost Rider is my favorite, although today I heard Vapor Trail on RUSHRADIO and I've been singing it all day long in my head. Washed away like footprints in the pouring rain...Neil Peart is #1.
