Maverick Posted May 27, 2013 Share Posted May 27, 2013 I got this idea from the tour that Yes are currently doing where they are playing The Yes Album, Close to the Edge, and Going for the One in full. If Rush were to pull of such a tour, which three studio albums of theirs would you like for them to play. For purposes of this thread, we will assume Geddy can sing anything from any album the way he sang it on the album, and he can sing it for the whole tour. There will also be a two song encore where you can pick any two songs, neither of which can exceed 13 minutes in length. For me, my three albums would be: Hemispheres Permanent Waves Grace Under Pressure Encore: The Necromancer Headlong Flight Repost? They are: FBN (other than By-Tor I don't think I have ever heard them play any songs from this album in person. Obviously, i have ATWAS and plenty of boots but its not the same thing)HYF (like the album a lot + its a nice, slower paced, more melodic album after FBN for the middle of the show. Also, and this will revolt some folks, I would like to hear Tai Shan live. Yes, you read that right - Tai Shan live)2112 (love the album and a great way to get everybody worked up near the end of the show with the title track and then Something 4 Nothing to close out the show) Encore - very hard to pick but I went with: Everyday Glory (I don't believe they have ever played it live - or if they have I have not heard it)Working Man (ok - its a little tried and true but its a good ripping song to end the show & in a strange way it fits with Everyday Glory) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
