  1. Doing exactly the same currently. Man they were tight. And as I speak, something I'd never heard before. At the end of The Camera Eye, Geddy plays a sample of the 'bring out your dead' quote from Life of Brian. Directed by and starring, of course, Terry Jones. Another legend taken this month. Sad times, but they leave such a legacy.
  2. Hands down my favourite Rush song. An absolute masterpiece, even more so than the rest of the back catalogue :P
  3. I'm a golf-playing guitarist, so there's only one option for me. I'd be able to get tips on both pastimes and spend the day with a guitar hero of mine, an amazing experience.
  4. I use Chrome as well, so don't rule it out! :P I was implying Google Chrome's superb ad blocker. Ah, I see. This is actually a video that plays before you can watch a YouTube video. It only applies to certain videos, presumably from people who make money from their YouTube stuff :)

  6. Just saw this as an advert before a YouTube video. Took me by surprise to say the least! https://www.youtube...._Lthp9L&index=2
  7. 2112 PeW Hemispheres Encore: Closer To The Heart Red Barchetta Standard, predictable, amazing.
  8. As a first time Rush gigger on Sunday, I'm hoping for Limelight. It's one of my favourite Rush songs, and I want to experience it live. Not bothered either way about MP and Dreamline, but I'd prefer 7COG to WTW.
  9. He is a massive friend and fan of the band, and producer of Snakes & Arrows and Clockwork Angels :)
  10. Wow, wasn't expecting that. Great to see other artists sharing the love for Rush, especially John Mayer, I love that guy. Shivers down the spine, and it was obvious that the band weren't expecting it.
  11. Wow, tough question. I'd say these are my 5 favourite, not necessarily in this order though: Moving Pictures Permanent Waves 2112 Clockwork Angels Hemispheres
  12. If Geddy stopped coloring his hair I believe he would be completely gray. I wouldn’t care but as rock stars they do have an image to maintain so I can understand the rug and hair coloring. It worked for Brian May, he looks better for letting the grey come through in my opinion. He's less "in the spotlight" than Geddy these days though I suppose.
  13. Amazing! Rush have just won Album of the Year and Band of the Year at the Classic Rock Awards! The band aren't there obviously, but the award was reportedly presented and accepted on behalf of the band by James Dean Bradfield, lead singer of Manic Street Preachers and well-known Rush fan! I'm a big Manics fan, so this is excellent news all round :rush: :rush: :rush:
  14. Just a side note, the official name for a misheard lyric is a mondegreen, didn't know that until today
  15. The 2 picture was posted today, along with an excerpt of Good Times Bad Times live. Got to be the O2 gig, surely.
  16. As expected, this was posted earlier today: http://allfacebook.com/files/2012/09/LedZeppelinIII.jpg Within the last 30 minutes, this was posted: http://youtu.be/jXIU4nW-ZUc Looks like live stuff, either dates or a DVD. Probably the latter though.
  17. Mine is Counterparts, which I'm more than happy with, one of my favourite Rush albums. My song would probably be Leave That Thing Alone. Second only to La Villa of the instrumentals (yes, I think it's better than YYZ), and one of my favourite Rush songs outright.
  18. QUOTE (balance @ Sep 10 2012, 03:04 PM) QUOTE (Unobtrusive Companion @ Sep 10 2012, 06:54 AM) Who's to say they won't play one set twice in two shows, rather than ABABABA, go ABBABAA or something. Time will tell... Careful there you are getting way to close to ABBA... The examples in my original post were ABAB and ABBA, but I thought I'd add extra, just to avoid any unfortunate confusion

  20. The plot thickens, it now appears to be a countdown to Thursday. We'll see...
  21. http://static.nme.com/images/gallery/ledzep5.jpg This was posted on the official Led Zep Facebook page yesterday, with no explanation. As you say, many think it relates to the 5th anniversary of the O2 gig, and they'll release it, but other theories include a tour (5 years since their last live performance) or even a Led Zeppelin V studio album. Time will tell, sounds promising though!
  22. QUOTE (Shreddy Lee @ Sep 8 2012, 11:39 PM) Just heard Geddy say before Working Man "this one you might recognize" I guess some of the crowd must have been a little confused with the first set. I think it's just something to say to be honest, he said it before Grand Designs as well
  23. QUOTE (Middle Kingdom @ Sep 8 2012, 08:45 PM) I'm pretty sure the kit spin is intentional, since he got up immediately to play the electronic side. You'd have thought they'd have developed some sort of way that Neil's drum stool stays still while the kit moves, thus he doesn't need to get up. Still, this all sounds awesome! Can't wait until next May!
  24. My Birmingham tickets arrived a few weeks back
  25. For me, it's just that there are other songs on the album that are better. I love 7COG, but it's testament to how consistently good CA is that it's near the bottom of my song ranking.
