Pink Floyd is cool too.. apparently it's slang for "whale penis"..The name Pink Floyd came about when someone in the band, likely Syd, took the first names of 2 American bluesmen, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council and combined them to make their name. I loved the name Rush the first time I heard of the band ("In The Mood" on the radio I would guess). Still think it's an excellent name for a band.
