About ten years ago there was a Nissan (or Toyota? ) commercial that used Tom Sawyer.

I finally saw the ad tonight. Loved it! My Hubby and my daughter and I all did the air drum and sang along

I saw it on History Channel (during American Pickers). I was at the computer during commercials and it caught my attention immediately.

I saw this last night on CBS. I was like "holy crap...Rush!"

 

I think Tom Sawyer would have been better for air drumming.

I'm hoping I'll never see the day when they use 'Caravan' for a Chyrsler minivan commercial. That would be the sign of the apocalypse.

 

The commercial would have been better with the guy beating the hell out of his steering wheel to the beginning of 2112.

I had not seen this commercial and my wife came into my office and said "You've got to see this new Passat commercial." And I was like, "What?" and begrudgingly I went into the other room where she had it paused on DVR.

 

She said "You're going to love this!" and started it up.

 

My mouth dropped open and I looked at her, with that big smile on her face, and I was rocking along with the song. They played a lot more of it than I thought they would and then the end with the guy giving the sign and saying "Wooooooo!!".

 

Awesome commercial. More. Like. This.
