  4. I really like it. I know the admins have probably put in countless hours to get this done and working for everyone. I, for one, really appreciate that effort to bring us a place like this. :ebert: I especially like that video links, like YouTube, show a preview pic.
  5. My son and I went to the box office this morning and scored seats in row 10 orchestra 3 !! Absolutely incredible!! Love paying face price for tickets like those. The parking opens at 5:00 and my son and I will be there then to get a good spot. Hope to see some of you there!!

  7. QUOTE (tangy @ Oct 5 2012, 07:03 PM) i suspect that cheech and chong will do the honors while throwing out pre-lit, hog- leg sized big bambu hooters to the unsuspecting corporate douche bags in the audience with rush blazing out a half hour passage to bangkok.

  10. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Oct 5 2012, 09:53 AM) QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ Oct 5 2012, 09:54 AM) QUOTE (MMCXII @ Oct 5 2012, 02:37 AM) Best suggestions so far are Page and Gene Simmons. Page for his status and Simmons for entertainment value. Gene would surely bring up the Kiss snub but that would also be entertaining.. Does it need to be a past inductee to qualify? Also what's the possibility that Rush would perform at the ceremonies? If so they should do The Garden! Isn't it 100% they will perform? Going back to my OP, does Rush pick who inducts them? If that's the case, I think they'd go low profile...like that Donna whatshername that played their record. Their style is always very low key Bubbles. http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/2006/04/24/bubbles256.jpg In character. Tell me that wouldnt be awesome.
  11. Matt Stone with a new South Park cartoon for their induction.
  12. I really don't care whether they get into the Disco Hall of Fame or not, but as of right now, Rush has twice as many votes as the 2nd place band Deep Purple. I think this will be a landslide vote for Rush. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/vot...uctees-20121004

  14. The only music "star" I got to "meet" was Bono. War tour at a KC concert. He's on stage and points in our direction on the first level stage left. Then he grabs a wireless microphone and a big white flag on a pole. He jumps off the stage onto the first level walkway and starts making his way towards us. Of course everyone starts standing up and making it hard to see but you can still see his course due to the white flag flying high above him. He then proceeds to turn up the steps towards our seats and making his way up the stairs. We had seats right on the isle so of course everyone is going crazy and he comes right to my seat and steps up on it to grab the support pole to the second balcony. (which was right behind my seat) He starts climbing the pole and we start pushing on his ass trying to boost him up. My wife and I had a hand on each of his leather-pants clad cheeks pushing him up this pole! He climbed onto the balcony railing while an assistant brought the flag and mic around from behind by going up the inside stairs. He sat there and sang the rest of the song about 10 feet right above us while we looked up with our mouths open and jaws on the floor. So, I didn't get to "meet" Bono but I did get to grab his ass. LOL (I'm not gay but it's not like there's anything wrong with that. )
  15. I went with Hemispheres. Hemispheres show up everywhere in nature and it is the basic structure of our brains. Everything radiates from the center (core) to the left and right. Reminds me of an LSD trip where your at that peak journey into the very innermost workings of your brain. Trying to break into that crevice ... get farther and farther into the core.

  17. I had not seen this commercial and my wife came into my office and said "You've got to see this new Passat commercial." And I was like, "What?" and begrudgingly I went into the other room where she had it paused on DVR. She said "You're going to love this!" and started it up. My mouth dropped open and I looked at her, with that big smile on her face, and I was rocking along with the song. They played a lot more of it than I thought they would and then the end with the guy giving the sign and saying "Wooooooo!!". Awesome commercial. More. Like. This.

  19. QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Sep 13 2012, 09:29 AM) Actually, I'm sorry Rush even started. Because the bar was set too damn high and it's nothing but disappointment as a result.
  20. QUOTE (FountainOfSyrinx @ Jul 24 2012, 11:19 PM) QUOTE (WCFIELDS @ Jul 24 2012, 10:36 PM) QUOTE (HigherWater @ Jul 24 2012, 07:58 PM) Good God! I've been away from the forum for about a week and it seems like in that time the haters have completely taken over! Why is Rush not aloud to write a song with a verse/chorus/bridge alignment (The Wreckers) or a song with a nice bouncy melody (Wish Them Well)? CA is a good if not great balanced record that the guys can be very proud of. I cannot believe that a Forum member would say, "I'd be embarrassed for Rush if they played that song on the radio." What a worthless, obnoxious thing to say. I'm sorry but seriously, as much as I hate Superconductor I would never say I was embarrassed for Rush. What embarrasses me are Rush fans that act like turds every time the guys try to give us something new. Like the new album, hate the new album-- Whatever. But don't for a second feel embarrassed for Rush-- They are a lot better than you! It's sub-par album, and to me The Wreckers is one of the worst tracks....doesn't sound like Rush or represent any aspect of Rush that I like.. lol. Define Rush. Please. This.
