Watched some Netflix movies over the weekend:

RV (shitty but a couple moments made me laugh, and that's more than most comedies can achieve)

That's a funny scene.

My son loves this movie.

The French Connection.

First time watching this. Gene Hackman is barking in top class fashion here. I thought he was going to have a heart attack or rip some villain's jugular out with his teeth!

Grade: A

I love movies filmed in New York City - esp during the 70s

And this was a classic one ..

This is a great site for an info geek like myself

Same here. The first trip I remember taking was in '77 to NYC as a little kid. I still remember those images.

The next times there wouldn't be until '06 and '10. What a difference.

If art is a reflection of what is happening outside the car window, then that explains a lot of what has happened, and the downturn in movies, music, etc

I remember always going there as a kid, and it was the drive home, after dark, thru the city that was as interesting, if not more so, than the reason we went in to begin with ..

Celestine Prophecy. What a weird movie. They don't even explain what it's all about until the end and then all they do is run a list of each prophecy down the screen. Could have been much better.

The Shallows. Cool shark movie with a far fetched ending.

The Man With Two Brains. I remember seeing this when I came out of the theater and how goofy it was. I think I had the whole thing memorized because I saw it so many times. Kathleen Turner still at her sultry best.

Maybe the trashiest movie I've ever seen.

Does that mean you liked it?

btw, I just saw some video of 67 year old Ric Flair deadlifting 400 pounds. So I think Peart can drum a little more! The Macallan drinking, Red Apples smoking pussy!

I did enjoy it, but by no means would I call it good.

I saw that Flair video too. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he had another match one day.
