Now I know in this film Joseph Gordon-Levitt is playing Bruce Willis' younger self and they tried to make him up to look like him but he doesn't look like him at all. He looks like Fred Ward! They should have got Fred Ward to play the Bruce Willis part. Joesph Gordon-Levitt was Fred Ward junior in this!

This was pretty good.

Sh*t, I'd like to watch this but there's freaking Farrell in it...

He's ok in it. I didn't used to like him either but over the course of about a dozen or so films like In Bruges, Triage and even the Total Recall and Fright Night remakes he's grown on me a bit.

Same here. Used to hate him until In Bruges. Sort of like how Affleck and McConaughey have gone from hated to respected lately with their better choice of roles.

I still don't like Affleck and McConaughey. And those new car ads with McConaughey are making it worse! "They say you can't go back...well yes you can..." I wish he would go back!

I HATE Farrell in In Bruges. It seems to me he drags down Gleeson in every scene they have together. But then he's playing a lazy, stupid, hateful guy.

I don't have much acquaintance with "old" McConaughey, since I don't watch much american comedies, but I totally fell in love with him thanks to True Detective. Affleck, used to hate him too, but Beardo Affleck in that 70s CIA movie he directed, what was that? - he was great in that!

There are exactly TWO reasons to watch this and their names are Jennifer Lawrence and Woody Harrelson. The action scenes and the killings are totally tamed because, hey teenagers!, so in a movie where the basic plot is people KILLING EACH OTHER, you actually don't see any blade hitting a body or a fist hitting a face, the camera always shifts off at the last second.

As a critique of reality shows, it actually looks more like a remake of Truman Show than anything, I bet all the kids who saw this dreamed of wearing those outfits and be there with the blue-haired David Letterman guy.

YES!

That picture's shortly before one of the goriest scenes in any AHNULD movie I can think of offhand too.

Gotta' love how those little green balls of VX gas can break with a gust of wind, but Nick Cage can run, jump, roll around and fight with one in his fist (and later his shirt pocket) and it's all good :)

This whole movie's worth it for Ed Harris' acting and the VX gas ball in the mouth / punch to the face to break it open. HUZZAH!!

I found an early edit of The Hunger Games online:

To be honest, I completely disagree with almost everything he says, but I couldn't help but enjoy myself watching him talk about psychoanalysis and his own ideologies with conviction.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I realized that the graduation scene at the beginning was filmed in Claremont,CA where I grew up. I even lived a handful of blocks south down the that street (College Ave.) it was filmed at at Pomona College. I was probably 5 at the time living with grandpa who STILL lives there. Had no idea it was filmed in Claremont until today.

^^^ Would still love to see Zodiac, like it?

Yeah it's an interesting true life mystery and everybody's good in it. It's an interesting story, the killer is really mysterious and inspired films, fictional serial killers and real killers (unfortunately). The Zodiac killer kind of created the modern serial killer. It's not just about the killer though it's about the cops and newspaper men who investigated him and how it affected their lives.

Yeah, it's more like All The President's Men and The Insider than Se7en or Silence of the Lambs. Fincher's best film to date.

How did you like it? I first read the story (as one of the tales in Four Past Midnight) back in 1990. Not seen the film.
