The Professionals is one of my favourite movies. Along with Point Blank, it was Marvin's finest hour imo.

Yeah you can't argue with Marvin's performances in these, The Killers too.

Ridley Scott's Kingdom Of Heaven: Director's Cut

Anyone else seen this version? Undoubtedly one of my all time favourite films, a genuine masterpiece. The theatrical version, however, was tragically poor. If you saw that and felt disappointed, watch the real version untouched by studio executives. Its absolutely breathtaking.

A movie about a slightly autistic guy taking 18 years to write a dictionary. A good portrait of Japanise values, I think.

^ lmfao

why?

I just had to know if it was as bad as everyone said it was.

Curiosity killed the cat. I still have "yet" to view it, or even an excerpt.

I'll save you the trouble by giving you the one enjoyable scene in the movie (which is still kind of cringeworthy):

I love this movie...a pity the planned prequel, Bubba Nosferatu, never happened

Aw s**t, I saw this a couple of times back when we had movie channels. Now I remember why we got rid of them.

If that was indeed the best part then count me out.

It's kind of surprising it's such a bad movie though, because from what I can gather his show wasn't all that bad. This clip entertains me:

Full Title: The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade

Briliiant film...or filming of a play. A synopsis of the play...

Set in the historical Charenton Asylum, Marat/Sade is almost entirely a "play within a play". The main story takes place on July 13, 1808, after the French Revolution; the play directed by Marquis de Sade within the story takes place during the Revolution, in the middle of 1793, culminating in the assassination of Jean-Paul Marat (which took place on July 13, 1793), then quickly brings the audience up to date (1808). The actors are the inmates of the asylum, and the nurses and supervisors occasionally step in to restore order. The bourgeois director of the hospital, Coulmier, supervises the performance, accompanied by his wife and daughter.
