umoveme
I have to be honest. Their burgers are amazing in every way, but the fries have an overcooked flavor to me. I can't really describe it. They are good, but not the best. I like In N Out fries. Now, I really want a burger, though!!!
circumstantial tree
I ate there only once. The burgers were an oily mess.

1 of the 7
Some of their restaurants are better than others, I find. I actually prefer Cheeburger Cheeburger, but they're a lot less widespread. Both of them have less than stellar french fries, I agree.
Invisible To Telescopic Eye
Yes they are excellent and will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today...but I like Fuddruckers most.

invisible airwave
Tried it for the first time last Spring since one opened near me recently in Rancho Cucamonga,CA. Great burgers and I love those cajun fries as well. Still no In N Out though but close. It's like asking whether the 1st or 2nd Godfather movie is better. Legends and The Hat are a couple other good SoCal regional burger joints. Edited September 23, 2011 by invisible airwave

Rendclaw
I tried them, they were horribly overpriced for what you got. Don;t get me wrong it wasn't bad, but for what I paid for a meal for myself and my girlfriend, I could have gotten a meal for a third person if had gone to Wendy's and *they're* highly priced too. I keep hearing so many good things about In N Out, but hell I have to go to Vegas or Cali in order to try it. Boo.
laughedatbytime
Five guys is great! Wonderful burgers and all the fries you can eat for a reasonable price. My wife, who lived in Cali for 7 yrs and who also loves Five Guys, thinks In n Out is slightly better.
