ctoddrun
Hey Old Guy? I had the Zentera for a while. Loved most of the tones, but couldnt get used to the lag when switching channels on it. How is yours working for you? As far as gear, I've got a few things. http://images8.fotki.com/v108/photos/7/720803/2869528/Stiletto005-vi.jpg The Zentera is gone now, as is the Stiletto. My main amp now is the Mark IV with the PRS. http://images14.fotki.com/v249/photos/7/720803/2869528/GuitarStuffforSale-vi.jpg
_pete_
ES-335, Yep I am in a tribute band. Counterparts-A Tribute to Rush thestand, The H&K Z-Board was about $300 and it's really needed to have full control of the Zentera. ctoddrun, I have no lag at all switching programs. The amp does have the latest software update. Maybe your amp didn't have that. Edited January 4, 2006 by pete, the old guy
ES-335
QUOTE (pete, the old guy @ Jan 4 2006, 03:11 PM) ES-335, Yep I am in a tribute band. Counterparts-A Tribute to Rush Nice! ... even have the dryer on stage are yall based in Nashville? I live in Atlanta, I will try to catch your next show ... post it on the board when you schedule another one. Do yall have any mp3s? One day, when "I settle down", I would like to start / join a tribute band ... sort of a dream at this point, not enough time ... I could play either Alex or Geddy's parts ... although we would have to detune a few of the songs for my vocals ... who knows what the future will bring. ES. Qball
I've been playing the guitar for about 7 years now (electric since 2002): Here is my first guitar... a cheap, Polish classical guitar: http://kubolski.republika.pl/jpg/Defil.jpg My electric guitar (and primary one at the moment): PEAVEY RAPTOR PLUS http://kubolski.republika.pl/jpg/Gitara.jpg This is my electro-acoustic Stagg guitar I've bought a recently not long time ago... http://img437.imageshack.us/img437/9743/stagg8gi.jpg ...and my cheap bass: http://kubolski.republika.pl/jpg/skyway.jpg As you can see, I'm a lefty. I use Planet Waves and Dunlop picks (.7-2.0 mm, usually a .84 mm) and D'Addario strings (gauge 10-46). I don't have a proper guitar amp, though, I use my hi-fi stereo amp instead. I have a shitty bass amp at my band's rehearsing place. I play mostly rock with blues influences (my favourite scales are minor pentatonics, chromatics, harmonic minor, whole-tone scale, tritone based scale). Progressive rock and jazz fusion also influence the way I play. My favourite and most influential guitarists for me are: Jimmy Page Jimi Hendrix Robert Fripp John McLaughlin Tony Iommi Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Carlos Santana Jeff Beck Mike Einziger Tom Morello Edited January 7, 2006 by Qball

searchingforxanadu
I've got a Fender Starcaster in that goldy-brown with black thing going on. You can see it if you click on my profile -- my user picture is of me and my Fender, whose name is Lerxst. LOL. My amp is a Fender thingy as well, and it says something like spf.10 on it, or something. It's small and it sucks and I don't care for it much. But life goes on. Ax Slinger
I'd have to agree. Over the years I have had some very nice guitars. I love old vintage models from the 50's and 60's. But so do thieves, and I have lost some classics. So for the last 10 years or so I don't play vintage guitars anymore. I have a Squier Afinity "Fat Strat" now days. It plays fine, sounds fine, and it only cost $200.00. So if I lose it, I am not heart broken, and it's relatively painless to replace. Not to mention, a good guitar player doesn't need a good guitar. All you need is inspiration... (And some chops don't hurt.)
