driventotheedge
I've been to in the neighborhood of 200 shows. I'm 54 and started going to concerts in like '72 or '73. For me to answer it would be difficult as I have seen pretty much everyone who's music I like save for The Who and Elton John (who I still have a chance to see at some point obviously). Of course there are others, but....... Many of the bands I like I've seen multiple times of course. The ones I am most proud of are the ones that tour rarely like The Tubes or ones that are no longer with us like seeing Ozzy with Randy Rhoads on the Blizzard tour, the REAL Lynyrd Skynyrd in '76 before the plane crash and Zeppelin in '77 before Bonzo's death in'80. My greatest regrets in concert attending are having several chances to see Queen (with Freddy of course) when they came to a city I lived in and not doing so cuz at the time I didn't appreciate how unique and talented they really were and not seeing Floyd with Waters (saw them 3 Xs without him in'88 and '94) though in fairness to myself I always lived in a town that they didn't come to when they toured in the 70s and with The Wall in the early 80s (would've had to live in L.A. or N.Y. to see that). metallithrax
1st ever concert August 20, 1988 Iron Maiden KISS David Lee Roth Megadeth Guns N' Roses Helloween "This was the year two music fans were accidentally crushed to death during Guns N' Roses performance of "It's So Easy." The tragedy was initially blamed on crowd disturbances: in reality it was a fateful combination of people at the front of the 107,000 strong audience moshing and slipping in the mud (it had rained heavily) in conjunction with a sudden surge to see the band." I was down near the front when this happened, but on the right hand side of the stage - it happened on the left side. Shows after this include: Metallica with Danzig support x2 Slayer with Nuclear Assault WASP with Zed Yago support August 22, 1992 - Iron Maiden,Skid Row,Thunder,Slayer,WASP,The Almighty Metallica few more times Anthrax a few times Megadeth Motorhead (walked out) Slipknot (walked out) Trivium Manowar Kings X Sabbat Toranaga Acid Reign, Xentrix Europe (this year) Blue Oyster Clut Trouble Bullet for my Valentine Toby Keith - in Las Vegas with the Girlfriend - quite a good show actually Rush a few times Primus Big Country Beyond Fear (Tim "Ripper" Owen) Saxon a few times METALLICA with Megadeth, Diamond Head, The Almighty - Milton Keynes 1993 Metallica - Big Day Out 1999 - Milton Keynes with: Monster Magnet Pitchshifter Symposium Queens of the Stone Age Mercyful Fate Marilyn Manson Ben Harper Ministry Sepultura Creed Machine Head Testament Motley Crue White Lion Wolfsbayne Jay White as Neil Diamond - in Las Vegas again, but saw this guy with my mother while the girlfriend saw Barry Manilow with her mother and twin sister. Not Music related: Ray Romano Freddie Starr Bob Down Paddy McGuiness Probably some other I can't remember yet, will update if I remember any.
