  3. QUOTE (In A Tidewater Surge @ Jun 1 2011, 06:34 PM)I'm sorry, the intended purpose of my poll was to take 2 of the most persecuted groups in history and see how they would fare on a fanboard with a fairly large range of people. I suppose I didn't go about it the best way I could have, but the fact that nobody voted seems to indicate that the folks on the board are rather accepting, and not prone to antagonizing others.

QUOTE (presto123 @ Mar 22 2011, 01:38 PM) No talk of the new record? Not that I could remember, no. If he did it was very brief and not in detail.

    Neil Peart on TV

QUOTE (tel @ Mar 22 2011, 06:48 AM) QUOTE (pt2112 @ Mar 22 2011, 02:21 AM) It was taped today, but it won't be actually on TV for another week or two. I was in the audience. It was absolutely incredible to see Neil up close about 10-15 feet away in an intimate setting. He talked about touring, his new book and then dissected Moving Pictures track by track among other things. It was an unbelievable experience that I will never forget. Wow,you are so lucky to get in on that how did you get tickets?,i would of thought demand would of been huge. My friend got the tickets. I think he just requested them online. And I'm sure the demand would be huge, but I'm not sure how many people actually find out about stuff like this. It's not like it's a concert where it's announced everywhere. I certainly had no idea until after my friend got the tickets.

  8. QUOTE (vprtrls @ May 4 2010, 02:00 PM) PT put on a great show Sunday in Detroit. Stephen was baffled at the lameness of the crowd though (as was I). It seemed to me that 95% of the crowd were first timers at the show and for the music. He said something about "demographics". Certainly Detroit was weak compared to the Chicago stories. Whomever decided to put seats down in the normally General Admission area put a major damper on the crowd. Everybody was sitting on their butts from my vantage point. I rocked as hard as I could from the section above main floor then did mainfloor for the encores. No way to bust to the front area. I wish I would have made it inside earlier to see Big Elf. The lead guy and other band dude was hanging out in the lobby after PT finished and was signing CD's and chilling with fans, pretty cool. I was trying to unload an extra sweet ticket and as usual, ate it and gave it away to a random fan. I did luck out after the show as I walked to the front of the stage and I asked a roadie for a pick, and he gave me a greyish/green pick out of a little cup attached to a mic stand that Stephen used. The pick was certainly used and abused with all the heavy riffing. Geekville Yeah, Steven was saying at the Buffalo show how the Detroit crowd was a bunch of zombies wearing King Crimson t-shirts.
  9. Going tonight in Buffalo! This will be my 4th time seeing them.
  10. Molson - Section 201, Row R ACC - Centre Floor, 21 Rows Can't wait!
  11. QUOTE (Xanadoood @ Dec 15 2009, 03:33 PM) With all this being said about both films, does anyone else feel the whole Mafia thing has been done to death?..I mean, everyone raved about The Sopranos, but i really couldnt see what the big deal was. After the Godfather and Goodfellas, what more do you need?... My entire Italian family and I would disagree.

  13. QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Dec 1 2009, 03:28 PM) Xannydew needs more Radiohead. I think I'm going to go chronologically (yes, I've heard about Pablo Honey and how it's so unimpressive) just for fun. But like I've said before, $30 is a bit expensive for one item - but for three discs, I think it's worth it. I don't know which ones you have, but don't get Pablo Honey until you have the rest, save for Amnesiac.
  14. Freaks and Geeks was instantly the first answer to pop in my head. It's one of the greatest shows ever. Also, JPod lasted only one season. It was a Canadian show based on the wonderful and hilarious book of the same name by Douglas Coupland. It's about a team of video game designers whose last names all start with J. http://sharetv.org/images/jpod_ca-show.jpg
  15. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Oct 3 2009, 01:39 AM) How many times have I watched "Way Out Of Here" on PT's site? Many, including right now. That song kills live, and I missed it when they didn't play it at the NYC show last week. Seen that one twice live. Both times were excellent. As much as I loved this tour, the Fear of a Blank Planet tour just absolutely killed.

Take Care Well my ticket is a balcony seat so i dont think it is genral admission up there... And mine say Left Orch., Row A; so I don't think anywhere is GA. We need to arrange a meet up of TRFers....to let you know I'm staying at Skydome Hotel. Will be in TO about 2:30-3pm on Wed. Is that near the venue? I probably won't be leaving the Falls until that time, so I'll be in Toronto around 5 or so. A meetup sounds good if everything works out. No unfortunately not (downtown) but hope to arrange some meetup near the venue....don't know any of the restaurants/bars near there but will see what I can find. So any ideas for a meetup? Who here is all going to the show tomorrow night? K I got a message from Bastille night that he will be at Brazen Head pub on Liberty Street....around 5:00-6:00pm so I'll probably be there....just to let you guys know who are going to the show and want to hook up. Hope to see you there! Sorry man, was planning on going there for a drink, but we got a little lost trying to find the venue so by the time we got there, it was almost time to go in. Though while waiting in line, the people behind us were actually the organizers of Rushcon, so I got to talk to them for a bit. The show was incredible, especially sitting front row. Seeing The Incident live defenitely made me like the album more. The sound in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre was great too. King's X was also good, better than I expected.

  18. Saw this tonight and though it wasn't as good as the show or first movie, it was still pretty funny. "It doesn't look tough, it looks f*cked!"

I'm looking forward to seeing them for the first time on Wednesday in Toronto! Surprisingly there is no opening band for PT that night. Also tickets were only 35 bucks You sure? I would love that, but that doesn't seem right. Also, this is my 3rd time seeing them, but I have front row this time, so I'm super excited. Setlists are looking great. You may have a front row ticket BUT, Toronto is a general admission show so you better get there early if you want to be close. Take Care No it isn't...the Queen Elizabeth Theatre has seats.................

I have seen no announcement of one...not even on official website nor the venue's website. OK I just found out King's X is opening...my bad. Til now I never read or heard about an opening act. King's X kill live.....you'll wanna catch them....... Yes...one of the very few times you'll be glad you caught the opening act. Cool...haven't heard too much King's X, but looking more forward to the show now.
