I've only been diving since 2004 (decided to try it on my 40th birthday) And have been a crazy fan of a few local quarries, and the Florida Keys! Never tried an aquarium, but a friend that has a local shop has been trying to get me to try Baltimore. I guess the other question is ...where else do you dive? Do you do Scubaboard? Excellent! I'm glad to hear you enjoy diving. Too many people try it, but they don't keep up with it. The closest area to me to dive is Monterey, which is fantastic cold water diving, but just far enough away to be inconvenient. Most of my diving is tropical, and I've been all around the world; it's the main reason I travel. I was...but there are too many know it all's over there... (kind of like on here occasionally!) I've been doing a lot of cold water diving, they just closed a great quarry, so we have to do a little traveling to go diving at the moment. We were out on New Years Eve day, were talking about going this weekend, but with this snow storm...JUST not possible! hahahaha! x1yyz Posted January 23, 2016 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Heh, yeah, this weekend probably isn't the best time to dive out there! :D I have yet to do any real wreck diving. The only wrecks I've seen have been small (50') boats. I love sharks and one of my favourite places to dive is Cocos Island. Lots of great stuff down there. Pretty good reefs as well...most of those are in the Big Pine area, but there are a few up in Key Largo. (need to get there again soon!) hahaha! Do you do any of the kelp diving out there? Heard some cool stuff about that. Have a cousin with in-laws out there who goes out occasionally, and did a few kelp dives...said it was a neat thing to experience. I haven't been in a couple of years mostly because I am too lazy. I need to find a motivated dive buddy that will get me off my butt. (My last regular dive buddy was even lazier than me, hence the not going.) If you ever have a chance to try it you will love it! I am picking up a brand new suit in a day or two, though, freshly tailored just for me. I'm pretty excited, actually. I buy new suits about every five or ten years, hahaha...
