While no one has come out and said it, I guess Progressive Nation 2010 is not going to happen? Maybe a fall tour? I don't think this year. Last year did not live up to the hype Portnoy talked about . They need to get bands people really want to see or do "The Evening With " thing . I pretty much like all the opening bands on both PN. I like MP bringing out little known groups out. Plus its a great value for your ticket. If anything IMO the Zappa plays zappa set should of been shorter and the DT set longer. Its strange that after all the complaints DT's set length for PN will be longer than the 50 minute set length with iron maiden. where did the 50 minute set info come from? Eddie Trunk.com He is great friends with Mike and he says Mike already has a set list Sounds confirmed to me.

C&C are a great group. It's just too bad (assuming the C&C rumor is true) that two groups, who should both be opening acts in their own right, are opening for Iron Maiden; who I have absolutely no interest in seeing. It feels like a step backward for both DT and C&C. Whatever, I suppose the exposure is good either way, but DT have been around long enough and have a large enough following, that should really be out of the shadows of other bands and in to their own spotlight. I think you meant to say headlining acts, not opening acts? Iron Maiden are legends so the fact you don't like them has little bearing on that fact. I do think a third band is utter crap. Dream Theater should play at least an hour minimum. Dream Theater having never played the garden are siezing the day. Also, as much as the astute music knows about DT, many of Maidens audience don't so this gives them some well deserved PR.
Tortoise and Hare
I always get a chuckle when my students protest that I "should" love C & C, cause "the guy sounds like RUSH"! Sorry - - I can't get into C&C. Not even on the fringes of my playlist. Good time for a meet & greet with Portnoy, eh guys?!?!?!?!?!!? I've been hooking up IRON MAIDEN fans to DREAM THEATER since Tick introduced them to me. It's a good match!!!! Hare

Wilderness_of_Mirrors
update: ive come to conclusion that from 3:19 to about 9:28 in The Count of Tuscany basically sucks too. so i pretty much like the whole intro.....the metal part sucks ("let me introduce....MY BROTHAH")....the riff right before the spacy guitar solo is cool, the spacey guitar part is awesome and the end is beautiful. as for the other songs..... The Ministry of Lost souls was pretty damn good....and A Change of Seasons was OK. PS: Whither and the intro riff to In the Presence of Enemies pt.1 are really cool. but i still dont like dream theater
