  1. Is a Password needed like some of the previous presales?
  2. "Surge of energy, spark of inspiration . . . " :D
  3. When a band-mate or mates break up, the legal wranglings can last for decades! So very sad that DT has come to this! We've lost our 2nd favorite band! Damn-it Portnoy! (The poor guy just had a mid-life thing and the lawyers thrashed the band apart!) Hare :D
  4. It's a lovely song . . . but I was really "Jones'n" for a strong break-away in the transition! . . . Somethin' hard n'heavy . . . Somethin' seems missing . . . But . . . It's RUSH, and I LOVE it!!!!! Hare
  5. Only Portnoy can speak to his motivations!! Only the members of DT can speak to their motivations!!!! I ADORE THEM ALL!!!! . . . They are extremely talented and ridiculously GREAT musicians!!!!!!! I look forward to the future that Dream Theater . . . and Mike Portnoy, as a wondrously talented drummmmmahhhhhhh, can bring to us. . . in whatevahhhhhh form or faction presented!!!!! It is all good . . . It is ALL GOOD!!!!!! I've lived through the loss of many a GREAT musician!!!!! . . . Imagine losing Jim and Jimi and Janis in one year?!?!?!? . . . . **sigh** . . . These little bumps in the road - - as much as I can bitch and moan from time to time - - are part of the game, kiddies!!!!!! It's all Good - - it's ALL GOOD MUSIC!!!!! 6. QUOTE (rushforumnewuser @ Nov 26 2010, 09:22 PM) On last night's CoasttoCoastAM, the hour 3 guest stated that members of a Lupus support group eliminated food and drink with Aspartame and their Lupus went into remission. I have also heard of MS going into remission by eliminating Aspartame. I am strictly passing this along and leave it for the individual to decide whether they subscribe to theories such as this. Nutrasweet is a poison - - such substances should be rendered illegal! I cured my severe migraines by eliminating all nutrasweet products . . . then I decided that I would get rid of all beached (white-sugar and white-flour) products from my diet! Hare
  7. Prodical Son, eh?!?!? Come-backs are always fun!!!!! I am still heartbroken over the loss of a superb sound! - - I knew somethin' was nervewrackin' about MP's hyper-activities - - somethin' just had to give . . . What a loss! Hare
  8. QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Sep 16 2010, 12:59 PM) QUOTE (Rushchick10 @ Sep 15 2010, 01:02 PM) I'll have to introduce you to my friend Petie, too! You think I love Geddy, you should see that woman! She puts me to SHAME! She puts all us Geddy lovers to shame.. I tried pullin' age rank with Petie at the Boston show - - I told her that I was willing to "share" - - she said she was not! She's ADORABLE - - and I took a picture with her back!!!!! I've never asked someone to turn around so I could snuggle up to their back before - - for a picture! (Man, I'm glad this is in NWW - - the men would really take this the wrong way, eh?!?!?) WE HAD A WICKED AWESOME TIME IN BOSTON!!!!!!! Can't wait til next year - - gotta save the pennies!!!!! Hare (Still on a semi-post-RUSH-concert high, even though I had to be back in my classroom the morning after at 7:30 am!!!!!)
  9. Ya know, I did take note of the fact that LSM and I had to actually wait in a "line" at the ladies' room last night in BOSTON!!!!!!!! I'm not sure how I feel about that. We actually had a conversation with some of the "older" seasoned rockahhhhh women in the line. Apparently . . . OUR SECRET IS OUT!!!!!!! Hare
  10. Yep . . . yep. . . yep!!!!! We're a really diverse crowd! VELCOME!!!!!!!!! Hare
  11. What a bunch of horse manure! Grow up! Hare

  13. There is a great story in New Bedford's history. A whaling captain's sister needed to settle a score with a neighbor. She rode by horse-and-buggy to the countryside to pick up a perfectly round and dried cow-flap. She brought it home, . . . frosted it nicely, like a cake, . . . and left it on the neighbor's porch. This is really mean-spirited and I would never evahhhhh do such a thing. But for some reason, this is what came to mind when I read your post! Hare
  14. I think that some venues tend to be a bit lax. The New England venues are strict-to-the-core!!!. . . Especially with the front rows! We can only move down to empties WITHIN our section. There are guards on every aisle and for every section. Front row gets a wrist-bracelet, usually. And you can always grab a guard and "rat" to check tickets. They are a pain with cameras and smoking sometimes, but they are quick to assist when you ask. We usually see RUSH at Mohegan Sun, CT . . . Comcast Center, Mansfield, MA (Great Woods) . . . Boston Garden. T & I are working extra jobs and eating dandelions to pay for our front row this year. I believe if anyone tries to squeeze me out after all this work and stress, they should have a will secured in their lawyer's office! So let it be written . . . Hare
  15. What a great report!!! And WELCOME!!!!! We found out how much the guys watch us in the audience in R30 Roadshow. I am amazed that, with everything else they have to control, they remember and discuss audience events. AMAZED!!!! Hare
  16. COOL BEANS!!!!!!! Red Rocks in on our "Bucket List"!!!! . . . alas . . . not in the cards this year . . . darn! Make sure there are no "date chicks" in front - - and support the BOYS with all your ENERGIES!!!!!!! RED ROCKS have an WICKED AWESOME filming for us . . . for us to share . . . for generations to come! Hare
  17. We just went to the CARNIVAL OF MADNESS show on Sunday. We went ONLY to see SEVENDUST, who played second out of five bands. Shinedown was the headliner - - although I couldn't figure out why! They only had a couple of good numbers - - their older stuff. Most of the show was talk, talk, talk, gab, gab, gab - - - he reminded me of Meatloaf meets Elton John meets Cinderella. Mostly, they played Chick-flixxxxx music . I kept waiting for the Shinedown drummer to "break-out", but alas, I'm spoiled by the best! I liked Ten Years, Chevelle was ok, Puddle of Mud, not my style. It was a fun night to spend with friends - - our RUSH shirts and tats attracted a few interesting new friends and conversations! Oh, and the place was SWARMING with date-chicks! EVERYWHERE!!!! I've never seen so many women at a show! . . . I had to wait in line in the women's room. Geeeeezzzzzzzz! IMO, SEVENDUST was the much better band! Hare
  18. Wasn't the first one a Superbowl commercial?!? The timing and the flawless digi-switches make these so attractive - - I just HAVE to watch!!! "I'm on a horse!" Hare
  19. Finally, received packages today!!!!! Three VIP packs - - of course our Mohegan Sun concert was LAST Monday! The package includes the magnet with picks - - really different and neat. The shirt is NOT a TIME MACHINE TOUR shirt, it is a charcoal grey shirt with the Pink (First Album Font) logo across the breast. The FLY-BY-NIGHT OWL poster has STARMEN eyes - - THAT is MOSt COOL!!!! New songs CD, Documentary DVD, Time Machine Tour Program included. I can't kick about the value of this package!!! It's almost like getting the show for free!!! But, I would have liked to have received this package in a more timely manner. Hare
  20. QUOTE (fledgehog @ Jul 28 2010, 12:00 PM) news about JLB's solo album http://www.noisecreep.com/2010/07/27/james...-song-premiere/ Holy Crap - - This is exciting!!!!!!!! I LOVE the marriage of styles - - reminds me of Slipknot . . . Sevendust! Hare
  21. QUOTE (cgfcgf @ Jul 20 2010, 12:08 PM)I sat in Section 16 Row K (look at seating chart if unfamiliar). I was swamped with loud low end. It drowned out the guitar player. I could hear drum clarity here and there. These seats are not too close and not too far. The sound should have been loud but clear. Isn't the bass going through house sound? I could understand if there was a stack of bass amps on that side of the stage but there isn't. These guys are at 60 years of age, play incredibly and still write powerful music. I would like to hear them playing. I couldn't discerne many guitar or bass passages. I don't mind loud but can't it be clearer? It was all awash in loudness. I can't imagine my wife (who went in 04 with me) understanding the song when it is loud and muddy. At least my son and I know the songs well enough to figure it out. But the ones he didn't know forget it. he doesn't have a chance to actually hear the song. They're not lip synching and they actually play their instruments. If they can't clear it up then turn it down. If I mixed my band shows that way I don't think we'd get invited back (or maybe we wouldn't have anyways because of other...). I noticed, while heading for the bathroom, mid-set(I hate when that happens) section 15 tends to get a bit muddy from the middle rows and back. I think it may have something to do with the above balcony. LowEnd likes to bounce around under there. Sections 16, 24 & 25 have the same design so that may be the problem. (IMO) We sat in sec 15 row G and it sounded AWESOME. Second set got a little muddy toward the end of the set, but not enough to complain about. Mohegan Arena is one of our favorite venues for sound. My advice: Next time @ Mohegan if your stuck with sec 15, 16, 24 or 25. Try to get seats within the 1st eight rows. (I know, easier said then done) Tortoise
