Thunder Bay Rush
I just got onto these guys about a year ago. Living in Canada, they're not talked about quite as much up here. I've never heard them on the radio, not even "Pull Me Under." A friend of mine (from the US, of course) "ordered me" to check them out and I did. OMFG, these guys are good... and they're NOTHING like Rush, so I don't get the comments to that effect. They're a mix between Metallica, Iron Maiden, Yes, early Genesis, ELP and Floyd, with a little tiny bit of Rush in their, just because of influence. I have two DVDs, the 25th Anniversary at Radio City and the Around the World Kaos in Motion, or whatever it's called. These guys are frighteningly good. (Is frighteningly even a real word???????????????????)

Gompers
QUOTE (The Owl @ Sep 11 2012, 02:28 PM)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nBpLzNwkZw " Heads are turning, towards the sky. Towers crumble, heroes die" http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/10/Dtlsfny.jpg From Wikipedia: QUOTE Coincidentally, it was originally released on September 11, 2001, but when it was noticed that the logo on the cover artwork depicted the skyline of New York, including the twin towers of the World Trade Center, in flames, it was recalled and re-released a short time later with the Majesty symbol instead.[3] Some copies with the original artwork still exist, and are now a rare collectors item. The logo was based on a previous album cover, that had depicted a heart in flames. Since the concert was recorded in the Big Apple, the logo was changed to a flaming apple with New York City on it. If i had it, 25,000 people must also have it.. OF course I'm only saying that because I'm hoping it's only worth about 10 or 20 bucks... ] does anyone know who payed the tab for the huge cost of recalling all those discs??? Mr. Not
QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Sep 22 2012, 05:48 AM) QUOTE (Mr. IsNot @ Sep 22 2012, 12:04 AM) The Count of Tuscany very well may be my favorite DT song of all time Did you just start listening to them yesterday? It's a good song but come on. I've been listening to DT for at least four years now. The ambient section in the middle is what makes it for me (not to mention the amazing playing just before that). The verses are also very homelike to me being that I'm a power metal fan. The chorus is the only turn off (the vocals during it...) but even that moment is saved by Rudess and Myung: But please, tell me how my opinion should differ

Otherwise, TCoT is outstanding. Chorus & melody included
