Upcoming song vs song matchup on my favorite podcast. Thought this would be a fun one to pitch on here. Which one do you prefer? And why?

Van Morrison every time. Great voice; nice lyrics without being insipid. Funkier groove.

That tune is sure fire panty-dropper!

Of the two, I enjoy Happy Together more, but the enduring  popular appeal of Brown Eyed Girl is undeniable.  As for Van disavowed his most popular song, :rofl1:.  He's ever the dick, isn't he.

Same with Astral Weeks, and a case can be made for street choir.

I have voted 'no choice' purely because I don't recall ever hearing the Turtles' song.

The band probably are not so well known in the UK so unfair to vote otherwise.

Fair call if you're unfamiliar.

If you listen to the song on YouTube, it's a good bet you may have heard the song, but didn't realise what it is...

Brown Eyed Girl was the first song My Sweet Bride and I danced to as husband and wife at our Wedding. To this day, I get goosebumps whenever I hear it.

I love the Turtles.  They're silly. Happy Together was a good song with Frank Zappa,I liked when two of the Turtles  joined Zappa. Kinda tired of Brown Eyed Girl. Even though I'm a bass player.
