invisible airwave Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 (edited) Maybe the most cinematic SB in terms of suspense no matter who you root for from what I've seen. Can't script it. Edited February 12, 2024 by invisible airwave 1

Also, Tom Cruise's studio is Paramount. Follow the money.

Inthend Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 Good game. Knew that extra pt. would be the diffence. KC comes thru when they have to. Congrats Chiefs. 3

JohnRogers Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 Well, we know Dan Marino is out of the conversation but is it time to start comparing Patrick Mahomes to the all times greats like Brady and Montana? 2

On the surface, the extra point seemed like the difference. But if 49ers were up by 4, then the Chiefs would have went for the TD instead of the tying FG. Pretty good odds that they would have gotten the TD. Hypothetical yes, but when you have Mahomes any hypothetical is a valid option. 2

Yes. I texted my son before the last drive, "Is there any question the Chiefs score a TD here?" 1

invisible airwave Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 I knew it would have great ratings but on THIS level even with Swift mania? Most watched since the moon landing. https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/super-bowl-2024-ratings-viewers-1235907666/ 1

goose Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 Re-watching the SB overtime and am still amazed at the SF offensive breakdown that allowed Chris Jones to rush unchecked on that red zone 3rd and 4 before the Niners field goal. Eesh! 1

goose Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 So, a week has passed and we've all had time to calmly look back at the Super Bowl and evaluate each team's play. Looking at SF, what I saw was a defense holding the league's current most successful QB to zero points in the 1st Q and three points in the half, while a supposed high powered Niners offense fails to capitalize on opportunity and only puts up 10 points. The SF defense continues its strong play allowing only a slight second half rebound by KC , while the Niners offense essentially abandons its ground game plan and sputters out, leading to a tie. The head coach then opts to give the opposition - again, led by the league's most successful QB - the distinct advantage of getting the ball second, with predictable results. A frustrated SF franchise quickly responds by shaking things up and does the logical thing: Fire the defensive coordinator. 2
