  1. So I passed 2 Kidney stones Sunday evening. The pain is excruciating in the most tender of places. I shook the emergency room walls with my roaring and screams. I was the guy that everybody else in the hospital says to themselves .."at least I don't have what that guy's got." Took very strong type of morphine to manage it. Was a 5 hour hurricane of agony that left as quickly as it beset.
  2. Yes, one of the first movies I saw as a kid also. Seen it a couple times always good.
  3. Last Oscar? I doubt it. In the hedonistic world of Hollywood and pop culture, there is no such thing as bad publicity. The Cult of Celebrity guarantees that both Smith and Rock will profit from this "scandal". the academy may take their Oscar back. Smith probably won't come back from this. His selfish display was beyond the pale. He disgrace their hallowed Hall and they are very pissed I assure you.I've always thought from the beginning if she is so sensitive about her hair loss why doesnt she just wear a wig, people have been doing it for thousands of years. Perhaps she's too proud to wear one. I find them both equally and completely self-absorbed and very unhappy people. It was Smith who took it upon himself to defend her. She has been very public about her condition and has worn wigs but decided like some others who have alopecia to go natural. It is also sad that Chris Rock did a movie in 2009 about black women and their hair and dedicated it to his daughters. Why he was so insensitive after that is a head scratcher. Just wish the media would drop it, there are so many other important things going on in the world right now. You're right. Will Smith laughed at the joke then when he saw that she didn't got up and made an ass of himself on the world stage of the "greatest night in Hollywood". Bazzar if you think about it. He did take it upon himself but I can't help believing she has a lot to do with how he reacted.

  5. I gotta ask, was it worth watching?
  6. Been thinking of checking that one out. Looks interesting.Finished watching Power of the Dog last night. A relentless antagonist drains nearly all joy from the story but it's got a great twist at the end, literally, that rewards the faithful.
  7. Can never not think of the phone cops episode. "The real cops are in on it."
  8. on my list. Watching Swan Song right now. After a day and thinking about it a lot, I'm not too sure how to take this movie. Let me know what you think when you get around to watching it. Watched it last night. It's thought provoking. Interesting satire on a number of things. Warming ending scene. I keep seeing it compared to the prophetic Idiocracy a lot in how it is frighteningly like real life. It's all downhill for the series after this one. 1st two are classics. Prometheus and Covenent were better than the last two Ripley ones but it's not saying much. I didn't even bother with the PG13 Alien/Predator. It flips the coin on a lot of subjects. Reveals a lot of hypocrisy in a superficial society. It's good enough to watch again and I think I will.

  10. Saw Matrix Resurrection today. A little draggy at times. They had a lot to explain for what I'm sure is the next installment. Incredible F/Xs in a scene that combined real time and slow motion.
  11. Watched Darkest Hour the other day. Possibly the most convincing performance of a historical figure I've ever seen.
  12. I could say the same for this..... http://youtu.be/MC64gKvh5R8 Is the new show any good? No idea. I liked the original tho wasn't must watch TV for me back in the day. But that theme song........... It did have a great theme song. With the film work, in the running for top opening credit sequence. The shots of the hula girls hips didn't hurt that.
  13. Plus it had one of the coolest theme songs ever.
  14. '75-’82 Barney Miller was a smart show. Definitely stands the test of time as it was written reasonably close to real life. Excellent acting from a large cast of regulars and guests that could deliver the sting of life's troubles along with it's hilarious irony. Remember watching the first run final episode and saying, "That was a good show."
