I'll be home and the phone rings.  I have a 2nd wireless hand set on the table next to my recliner.  If the caller is unknown, or not in my Contacts, Caller ID displays as "Unavailable".  Usually once my answer message kicks in an unavailable will hang up, and the answering machine function recycles.  But lately some pricks will stay on the line past the "beep" just long enough to trigger the message recorder, even though it's dead air.  This causes the phone to beep every 15 seconds until I play/delete the dead air answer.  Ignorant fuqs!

I see folks commenting on politics and taxes and moving around the country to better suit them. Perhaps here is a place where I can comment: Canada, in all its ups and downs, is so reliant on the US that it's a bit embarrassing and you probably already knew that. But, reminder: our entire national population is similar to the state of California. We live in this vast expanse of land, fight forest fires, maintain roads and very long highways and subsidise communities all across a vast region, while hugging the border the entire way because we need that business. How much does snow clearing cost? Millions spent in each and every town and city just to pile it up somewhere else so the streets and sidewalks are somewhat manageable. And that's only because of our latitude. I won't get into national health care or dental plans now, but servicing this huge country with not a lot of people, yes, taxes are very high up here. 

 

Maybe that notion pissed me off today.

I'll be posting on a few other sites but not here for awhile so I'll say that as much of a DINO Newsom is, I'm glad he's standing up to you know who and am hoping for Seal Team 6 to enact.  I'm part Mexican but mom and dad were born here so I hopefully shouldn't be deported.  Oh, and this made my blood boil.

I was a member of a Facebook page of for a vehicle I no longer have. I have some nice floor mats that I don't need and though that would be a good place to try and sell them. I looked at their rules and policies and didn't see anything about buying or selling so I made a post. Literally the first line was, "If this isn't allowed, please delete." There were a few questions and one person asked if they could DM me because she was interested in them for her daughter's car. I got busy and when I went back to see if they'd messaged me, there wasn't anything so I looked at post history because I couldn't remember the name and there was nothing from that page. I checked the side where groups are located and the page wasn't listed so I searched for it and it no longer shows up.

 

Apparently not only did they delete my post, they banned and blocked me. Not even a "hey, that's not allowed" or similar, just the ban hammer from the beginning. WTH is wrong with people?

My 84-year old mother broke her ankle today.  She needs surgery.  Yet another blow to her aging, failing legs.  She can barely walk as it is, and she now has this….  
 

Looks like I’ll be converting our smallish house to accommodate a wheelchair.  Ramps!

Folks crazy out there today.  Did a quick trip to the grocery store, everyone driving like maniacs.  Nearly got T-Boned twice.  Heard local mall got so bad last night cops were brought in to direct traffic.  PLEASE be careful and safe out there, people!

I can't get any sleep.   

My mother (who has a cold) is in a care center while her broke ankle mends. 

Idiots are driving their cars with no headlights on....when it's dark out.

These aren't young people just coming up ether, where mistakes are part of the learning. These are people who should know better. Then lie or are evasive about it. Shitting on everyone around them.

Just tired of having to manage bullshit... when I could be spending time on creating and strategy.   I feel like my middle years are stuck in someone else's gutter..... and I'm not getting these years back.

Disaster in my house:   My control freak sister has gone off the deep end. 

She's refusing to help me with my disabled mother (broken ankle), who just came home from the care center.

 

Mom came home just yesterday, and I've already had to call out my sister for being overbearing and bullying. 

She was barking orders at me like a Marine drill sergeant.  My Mom and I told her that she couldn't move into the house because of her behavior. 

She is now blaming me for everything and will not admit to any wrongdoing.

Notice of speed violation in the mail.  A street I travel on a lot has an elementary school boundary on one side and a high school boundary on the other.  It's marked a school zone at certain times, max speed 15 mph.  But it's also equipped with speed detecting camera equipment. Can't really fight the violation as I was likely guilty of fast driving, and they showed photos of my license plate. Popped me for 10 over, poorer by a Benjamin, need to be more cautious.
