Bastard trains have been messed up all day...3 hours late earlier this afternoon. Now, going home at 9:20pm it's still late and slooooow. Stuck inside train now. Again.

The reason the train was screwed all day was because some trucker tried to cram his haul under some bridge that wasn't high enough (maybe not even a 7 foot clearance). The bridge won. Don't know what happened to the driver. Looks absurd though. I would upload a pic but photobucket is down for whatever reason. Nothing's working! What's next, f***ing zombies?!! :blaze: :LOL:

I'm looking at a pic of the accident that a friend sent me. And actually, I'm not even sure it's a car on the back. It looks like the remains of one at least. Or it could be one of those small bobcat tractors. But the truck's front wheels are up in the air while the rear tires are still on the ground. The wreckage of the haul is spread out among the street and the truck bed.

I didn't see this on the news so I don't have any details. However, my friend sent me this pic of the accident. Not sure which newspaper he got it from. I don't even know what was on the back of that truck. But it's a damn mess anyway.

I'm not surprised it wasn't on. If some stupid j-pop star were drunk in a bar in Tokyo, it'd be on the news for days. If Tom Cruise were promoting one of his movies out here, it'd be on all damn week...with the same news footage repeated.

 

Drug use is nowhere near as common as it is in the west. And there isn't much differentiation among pot, coke, and heroin. But there's plenty of sleep deprivation and stupidity around for that accident to happen! Thing is, THAT kind of accident has happened in my area a few times in the last few years.
