Hysteria wasn't a "step down," per se, it's just a little smoother than Pyromania. Adrenalize was a step back. After that, they have had their ups and downs, but none of their music is bad IMO. I saw them a few years ago, co-headlining with Journey, for the first time since the Pyromania tour. They are STILL outstanding live. I have tickets for the tour with the Crue. Boston, while talented, imo never put any album that could match Pyromania. But is it fair to say? I don't see them as being in the same genre of music. Unless you put them up against the later pop rock albums of Def Leppard. Def Leppard all the way even if their later albums are the same recycled hook hits... I've liked Def Leppard's Pyromania, and Boston's Don't Look Back, and think that Boston's Don't Look Back is as good as their Boston c.d., and album. I've given Def Leppard's Pyromania the edge.
