zepphead
When Johnny Marr left the Smiths, he formed a band with Bernard Sumner from New Order called Electronic.Between 1991 and 1999 they released three albums.Despite being labelled as 'alternative dance' and 'dance rock' I found their stuff to be pretty good. They are worth a listen - particularly the first two albums.

Rick N. Backer
Guns n Roses Amazing that they have 4 albums (if you count UYI as a double album and not a money grab) of original material released in 30+ years. Entre_Perpetuo
Guns n Roses Amazing that they have 4 albums (if you count UYI as a double album and not a money grab) of original material released in 30+ years. That's one word for it. Others might be unimpressive, disappointing, silly, or lame. Can't deny Appetite though, and the UYI's have great moments.

RushFanForever
When Gwen Stefani inducted The Police into the 2003 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, both bands had released five studio albums up to that point. Then No Doubt released a comeback album in 2012.

goose
Simon and Garfunkel I was thinking about Creedence, but had forgotten that they actually put out six albums in three years ('68-'70), and a seventh in 1972.
