danielmclark
I prefer A Show of Hands because it's the last one that really builds on what came before. There are elements from all the previous solos worked into new arrangements with new effects - the most recent solos are almost completely new things. But please, for the love of god, ditch the jazz number at the end.

Babycat
I just love everything about A Show Of Hands, yet whenever I see The Rhythm Method, my mouth just falls open & I'm just wide eyed, thinking oh my god...

flybyknight
Just wish that ESL beating was recorded using HD technology, I think that would change the votes, big time. Pity they didn't use cinemascope 35mm....(3or4000 lines.... That would have transfered to HD like Star Wars, TESB or something!!! Wonder if there are any leftovers, (The Camera Eye, Hemispheres, That Drum Solo...) or anything else left in the vault, from that filmed tour, that could be used in a future, extended version of ESL???? Would be very nice, indeed..... Edited October 14, 2010 by flybyknight
micgtr71
I went with the one from ESL because it does not have electronics, was the first one I heard, and it is the shortest. To be honest, as good as he is, I really don't care to listen to a drum solo.
kooma
Sorry guys, I hate drum solos, even from the best drummer in the world
default236
If it was on there, I thought the Snakes and Arrows drum solo was best, then ASOH.

CygnusGal
Love YYZ on ESL. The first Neil solo I heard and still hope for everytime they play that song.
Thunder Bay Rush
Pretty hard to beat Rush in Rio... that drum solo is the best I've heard from Neil. Very melodic and well thought out. I love the African rhythms in that piece... Edited October 3, 2012 by Thunder Bay Rush
kooma
Personally, I have to lean toward O Baterista. It's the most developed. Although I enjoy the onther four a lot as well. I HATE drum solos, they are so seventies!!!
Thunder Bay Rush
I agree, but only the really good drummers still do solos.
Union 5-3992
Shouldn't this be updated? And even if it was, O Baterista. That helped introduce me to Rush

By Tor
Old School Post Alert . I have to go for the first and I think the best of Neil`s A.T.W.A.S.Once you heard that there would be nothing close to it
Meaninglessphoto
S&A was my all time favorite. Especially the little cowbell interlude and the "industrial" section during the rear kit section. However, the Rhythm Method from DS will always be the one I put on repeat. So perfect to me.
TFEman
Personally, I have to lean toward O Baterista. It's the most developed. Although I enjoy the onther four a lot as well. Yes I agree with that, BUT my all time favorite was from 1991-92, Roll The Bones Tour solo, right between Where's my Thing and Closer To The Heart. My other favorites are the 3 mini solos from Clockwork Angels
