EagleMoon
He had a beautiful voice. I would agree it was one of the best in rock. So pure and clear.
Lucas
Steve's got a great voice, but what makes me like him is that his voice was so distinctive - he really stood a top that entire genre ... that, and even though he was so precise and clear, he had a little rasp in there, which I like .. I can only take Journey in small doses, but I do like his voice
Tinwoodsman
I liked Wheel In The Sky ... but the bands direction went to hell in a handbasket or man purse so to speak.

RUSHHEAD666
Steve Perry, a vocalist of a band Journey is widely considered as one of the best rock vocalists. But somehow I couldn't get into his voice, I just don't like it and I always find his singing irritating. I enjoy much more Geddy Lee's vocals than Perry's. Maybe my opinion is unpopular, but so it is. What are your opinions? I don't know if you are my younger brother or my older brother but you crack me up! Of course STEVE PERRY SUCKS AND RUINED JOURNEY!!! "INFINITY" is good, but after that forget it all!!! Nothing touches the first three Journey albums!!!! "SELF TITLED" "LOOK INTO THE FUTURE" "NEXT!" Dunbar killed it. Steve Smith was great too. Steve Perry killed Journey, but in the commercial limelight he made the band a commercial hit! YUCK! I am a .... "Spaceman"

Fridge
Like others, I acknowledge his talent and that he is a great singer.....however, I don't like the tone of his voice, and to be honest, most of his lyrics are horrible.
bluefox4000
He's a great singer. Amazing range. Emotive. But I don't like his voice. But it's a great voice I just don't like his tone. Yeah I feelThe same about Bobby Kimball. Snap. Both have qualities I admire. Toto fortunately never focused on just one singer (Tambu aside). And I wouldn't touch a Kimball solo album. Really? Paich has a couple of leads in Tambu. Yeah but the album feels a lot like a Lukather solo album. Its my second favourite Toto album so I have no issue with that haha Or third...Isolation has gone way up for me i don't get A Luke solo vibe from Tambu at all. It's actually good. Luke solo albums suck i'm sorry. Mick
