Have to agree with this, i was thinking this recently. SST move was just great. Own most of husker du black flag meat puppets replacements wipers cds. Damaged, in my head, warehouse, new day rising, meat pups 2 all classic albums and not that known in the uk at least. still love the buzzcocks and of course nevermind the bollocks album, will always be a classic, though the usa's 80's punk was so diverse interesting and great. edit how did i forget the kennedy's here.... just great.1 point

True, but it doesn't change the fact that when Metallica first started out and were playing a lot of Diamond Head covers none of the fans knew they were covers. Everyone, except for people who worked for metal record lables knew and that was it. Without Metallica, Diamond Head would just be another name on the long list of NWOBHM bands who fizzled out by the mid 80s. Diamond Head has Metallica to thank for keeping their name relevant for the last 30 years. I'm not trying to put down Diamond Head in any way, but facts are facts.1 point

8 kids?! :o :o :o That's what I said: :o ! Still, she looks great! :ebert: <===== wants to be numbah 9...numbah 9...numbah 91 point

I wonder where he gets his energy from. I am a year younger than he is and I could never do on stage what he does ... even if I could play an instrument and was famous!1 point
-
Another reason 80's punk was better. They could actually play their instruments. The musical tastes you reference explains why. 80's bands were punk by choice, not necessity.1 point

dead kennedys, black flag, circle jerks, minor threat, husker du, minutemen, replacements, X, mission of burma, meat puppets, wipers - all beat the 70s punk bands for me1 point

She's got a great body for having 8 kids...all natural too!1 point

Hope everyone inside was okay!!! Yes, thank you. It was his first accident. Better to hit a sign than someone else. Isn't that the truth!! Glad to hear that everyone is okay. Driving in this weather takes some nerves of steel!!! I can relate to that. Snowed so hard, I drove up what i THOUGHT was the enter ramp to the interstate. 3 sets of headlights at 12:30 (lunchtime) said I was wrong. Had to back out in a wide arc so I didn't drive off the road into the pit. I'm glad your stepson's ok! Scary shit! Thank you lovie!1 point

Did you find a way to get another VIP package or did you cherry pick a seat? Just curious if you know what seat you're getting. I'll be in sec. 104, so if you're near me we should say hi before the show. Edit: I just noticed your updated signature. I guess you got a regular seat. Hope it's a good one at least.1 point

The album is a master piece. The Watchmaker is an epic song. It's absolutely brilliant. This album will go down as one of the best prog rock albums ever. It's that good. Love the musical direction SW has taken.1 point

It's a crazy week! I'm going to get my METAL fix with U.D.O. at the Whiskey on April 23rd. Then Rush on April 25th! I can't wait! My wife doesn't want to go to either event! ADIOS!1 point

I just had a funny thought, someone has said Chris Cornell will be inducting Heart, but shouldn't it be a woman. What if it was Joan Jett?? Joan Jett and Don Henley in the same after party as RUSH. Classic!! Give Lerxst a few drinks and watch the show after the show. Lerxst would have to announce that he's auctioning off the guitar Joan Jett pissed on on eBay—money to go to a charity for Runaways.1 point

Thankfully I've had mostly good or great bosses in my life, but occasionally one can make work so intolerable no matter what you do to try and make things better that you just have to leave.1 point

Good for you. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. I had to quit a job in 1991 and it took me almost ten years to get back to the same level of success. It's still worth it. I can remember to this day how good it felt to get right in that asswipe's face and tell him to shove the job straight up his ass.1 point

That really takes courage, Workaholic Man. The first step is admitting that you have a problem. Perhaps Workaholic_in_recovery Man as a new screen name ;) Seriously though, I wish the best for you and your family. Life is short. Nobody ever lay on their death bed and wished they'd spent more time at work.1 point

I grew up with Baker and a little bit of the Davison stuff. I agree with those who say Baker is THE quintessential Doctor... but it's neat how they don't stick to one "type" when they're re-casting the role as a different regeneration. Davison was very different than Baker, and subsequent Doctors are very different from earlier ones. Companions? How about Leela, with her skimpy and primitive leather outfits?1 point

Pertwee and Tom Baker were the best....haven't really had a lot of time for it since Baker left.1 point

I grew up with Tom Baker as the Doctor and he will always remain as my favorite. I believe, I am not alone in those sentiments. The 41 episodes he did were exceptional. 40, if you decide not to count "Shada." I look forward to each story coming out on DVD.1 point
