Jacob's Ladder is just an ok song with a few monstrous moments, imo, and Entre Nous, while a great song no doubt, isn't necessarily the band's crowning achievement. MP would win for me if not for one tiny, 9 minute and 17 second long detail. Natural Science is not only the best piece that Rush has ever written, but it's probably most musically exciting song I've ever heard. It is so perfect that words fail to describe it's grandeur. From the beauty of "Tidal Pools" to the driving intensity of "Hyperspace" to the total victory of "Permanent Waves" Rush created something that I feel transcends Rock music. Lyrically, it can't be beat. Here you have a song that basically encapsulates the entire history of civilization, past, present and future into less than ten minutes. Untouchable perfection. Not a note out of place, not a word wasted. The quickest ten minutes of music I've ever heard. In case you can't tell, I like that song.3 points

He can no longer be charged with perjury, so he can now admit to what he did with no fear of prison. IMO, his plan is to take his lumps now, behave himself for a while, and someday compete again...be it in cycling, triathalon events, or whatever. His "confession" is just one part of his career plans.2 points

^^Scooter is a girl. She's probably seen some "monsters", she's a bit shy you see... sees monsters everywhere! We didn't name her. She came to us when she was about 7/8. She talks a lot too!2 points

The man is a very good drummer who rose to the occasion on some of the greatest songs ever written and recorded. Ringo bashing is ignorance defined.2 points

What do you do when your employer allows the reinstatement of a corrupt punk co-worker, who was fired for gross misconduct and vandalism of company property? What do you do when this punk (who was a popular member of the union good-old boy club) made your life hell everyday for the past two years, via his intentional sabotage of your job.....in addition to blackballing you because you dared to stand up to his buddy, a drunken loser who was abusive to you everyday (and got himself fired for it)? What do you do when your employer tells you that this punk is being reinstated to his job after SEVEN MONTHS? What do you do when you are being forcibly demoted back to your old job, on the SAME SHIFT as this punk, destined to endure the same abuse and disrespect for who knows how long.....? Years, perhaps....? YOU QUIT. That is what you do. I don't care about the huge loss of revenue. I don't care about the uncertainty of my future. I don't care about having to move in with my mother until I can start all over again....which may be never. ANYTHING is better than going back to that horrible job with such impotent management and such horrible co-workers. Grain dust everywhere. Freezing cold. Working 6-7 days a week. Asshole union goonbahs. Cowardly and incompetent managers. http://www.lixlove.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/quitlol.gif1 point

Holy cow, IPA connoisseur!! I'm taking your list with me to the beer store next time I go. Cool that you have the Dogfish Head in the fridge. Will def. pair very nicely with the Reverb. Whoo!1 point

Favorite IPA is probably Bell's Two Heated Ale. I've tried so many, all of them great. One favorite was New River Pale Ale brewed by Old Dominion. Right now, I have a Dogfish Head 60 and 90 minute IPA in my fridge so I can make an Alehouse 75 Minute IPA. And it will match my new amp!1 point

I know a guy at work who drinks that. He's gay. Eh, it was left over from Thanksgiving. It's kind of pretty awful, actually. I ran out of the IPA I had. Maybe I'll do some Scotch rocks instead! <--------- LOVE this stuff! Wait... You like IPA's? Tell me about it. Yep, India Pale Ale. Hoppy! You too?1 point

So now we can reinstate Greg LeMond as the greatest and only American to win the Tour De France. http://www.thescore.ie/lance-armstrong-interview-3-time-tour-champ-greg-lemond-takes-aim-at-former-friend-759308-Jan2013/ “I didn’t see the need for redemption, the remorse of someone who is truly sorry,” he said. ”I was impressed by Oprah’s questions; it was the ideal way to see the real Armstrong. It shed a light on him and I think people could see he is not remorseful.” -Greg LeMond1 point

More than anything, I'd love to see them just play the whole Clockwork Angels album start to finish...other than Moving Pictures (which they took a few parts out) they've never really just gone and DONE that! Come out in the first set, play it top to bottom, finish the first set with a few things while the strings are on stage that they did this tour, MAYBE add Losing it and take an intermission, Then come out and play the rest of the show....1 point

Feeling a little grumpy right now (got a cold, and this house I really wanted to buy just sold before I could get my finances together), so thought I'd pick a few nice Geddy photos to combat the grumpies! There's something about Geddy photos that help to take away negativity! http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g454/GoddessMika/Rush/gedscrsvr.jpg http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g454/GoddessMika/Rush/RUSH031.jpg http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g454/GoddessMika/Rush/RUSH022.jpg http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g454/GoddessMika/Rush/5878456.jpg There. Okay, I always feel a little guilty when I turn a beautiful man into meat, but I do have a certain collection of photos that are appropriate to today's posts in this thread, and I'm home alone sick with a need of cheering up. So, here's a sampling from that collection: Same as above, but different: http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5194/7425639182_5c29084d4a_b.jpg Hot! Probably literally, if you consider the implications of jumping around onstage with a heavy bass guitar wearing leather: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7132/7452365270_7b16fbb9da_b.jpg This one is mysterious. But what a nice view! http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8149/7452365362_d2b65f8ee5_z.jpg Not just shapely, but agile, too! http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8199/8225997222_eeb596454f_c.jpg This was from the Sept 9th, 2012 gig in Bristow, VA. It was my perfect day! I am actually visible in this shot, in the 3rd row of the second level, but only if you know it's me. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8456/8064097188_690a2e25f7_c.jpg1 point
