Lucas
And gearing up for the holidays 1981's Final Exam "Run of the mill slasher" in my book means a great time, and that's what this one was .. is ... If memory serves, Final Exam was mentioned in Scream or Scream 2 ( can't remember ) and Final Exam's character of Radish was definitely an influence on many a nerdy character to follow I've been enjoying horror recently. I watched the original Halloween, Black Christmas, Scream 1-3 (more comedy to me...love them!), and tried some modern stuff, of which nothing impressed me (The Babadook, Purge, Hereditary...all a big no from me). I want to try more old school movies! Segue, have you seen 1976's "Alice, Sweet Alice" ?? - that one is very good ... and a definite "love or hate" one is 1979's "Tourist Trap" .. I happen to love it "Alice, Sweet Alice" is the one with Brooke Shields, right? That one still scares the sh* out of me! And i need to revisit "Tourist Trap" soon. How about "The Funhouse"? Rod, yep, Alice, Sweet Alice was, I believe, Brooke Shields' first movie role .. That is a really good, underrated one .. and filmed about 15 minutes away from me in Montclair, NJ .... The Funhouse is one I need to see again - I haven;t watched it since the good old days of VHS back in the 80s A few others I have lined up for the next few weeks: - The Prowler- Madman- Nightmare ( 1981 ) - I've never seen this one but it is supposed to be pretty nasty- Sleepaway Camp - Don't Answer The Phone

Funhouse is underrated. That Hell Fest movie opening this week reminds me of that movie in the trailer. I saw ASA on The Movie Channel a decade ago. That fire scene is forking brutal. Saw that on Showtime recently and it managed to be even worse than Lost World which is my least favorite Spielberg film. It’s the Jaws The Revenge of the series and even worse. At least Sir MY COCAINE! looked like he was having a blast on vacation. Macy looked unhappy and just wanted the paycheck.

invisible airwave
Breakthrough of the Hughes brothers who went to my high school truth be told. OldRUSHfan
"Manhunter" Micael Mann film, 1986, starring William Petersen, the actor who played 'Grissom' in the original CSI series. great climactic scene almost at the end with "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" playing. I just purchased the last song that plays at the end and into the credits, "Heartbeat" by a group called Red 7. I thought it was Peter Gabriel from how it sounded. Around the time Peter's "So" album came out...

Ya think?Yep, "Manhunter" was discovered when the movie was on 'TV' on our cable provider. Way before CSI aired...I liked the fact of 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida was in the movie!Today, "Bullit" has been seen, car chase and all, and now I'm watching "Cool Hand Luke"

Rising is the only one I haven’t seen yet but I heard it’s not that good and just another cash grab for the franchise. Manhunter is the best one. Saw the Red Dragon remake on Starz which was just meh. Mostly saw it just for my favorite actor, PS Hoffman.
