PeW by a thin margin. But both are superior to Moving Pictures.

Sorry Johnny, I (sort of) get what you say but I think Hemispheres and PW are equally good but in different ways OK?
Yup, they are equally good in different ways...and I geekily said that with the two characters I picked here :blaze: ;)

Lorraine said to you Johnny which took more talent to write?
I'm not sure this can actually be answered given that it's the same band writing two albums within 15 months of each other. Just because PeW came after Hemispheres doesn't mean it took MORE talent to write just because the band was more experienced then.

And since it's probably impossible to answer, I'm going back to the superhero analogy because...what the hell ;)

They're both not of this earth.
One's magical, fierce, and of the gods.
One's optimistic and the ideal.

Which took more talent to write?
- Who knows? You need only trust your feelings.

Very difficult choice.  They're both incredibly good, in that way that only Rush of that era could possibly be.

I chose Hemispheres in the poll because although I suspect that Permanent Waves might actually be better, Hemispheres means more to me.

I prefer both to Moving Pictures.

Laughable.  Permanent Waves is much better.

This post is actually quite laughable.

Considering you should do your homework before you post.  LOL

The boys blew their wad with "Hemispheres" which was their apex as a band.  The greatest album ever made by humans.

Then they were lost and had to take a break and figure shit out.  Hence the more corporate commercial "Permanent Waves."

Come on man.  Really?

"Laughable?"

You must love One Direction and Katy Perry too.
Hey, Earl, look up the word "opinion" in the dictionary.  Keep in mind that differing viewpoints are what make the world interesting.  I laughed at this poll because it was such an easy choice for me.  I love Permanent Waves.  I like Hemispheres, too, but it's ruined by that god-awful title track (again, opinion).  You can try to tell me why I'm wrong till the cows come home, but I will not be swayed.

And by the way, I do think that 1D and Katy Perry are trash.  Haven't I mentioned that somewhere?

Definately Permanent Waves. How can you say no to Natural Science?

My main reason for picking PeW are tracks Natural Science and Jacob's Ladder, which I like a way better than a title-track on Hemispheres.
And from Hemispheres I would put only La Villa ahead of all PeW tracks.

I am a big fan of both albums, but I easily selected Permanent Waves for this one. It's the stronger piece of work, IMO.

I voted Permanent Waves of the two.  Hemispheres kind of came up short, especially after those two amazing epic tracks, whereas the stand-alone tracks "The Trees" and "Circumstances" felt kind of empty.
