blackhawkrush
Can Do Brew American Style Lager, brewed by Rhinelander Brewing. Something light and refreshing for this beastly hot and humid weather.I'll see your American piss, and raise you Zywiec Porter Alc. 9.5% by vol. Nice! I've seen the beer at a couple of retailers here but never the porter. Da mi pivo! :hail: (Mother's [RIP] family were Poles - grandpa tought me that one.)Very close. It's 'daj mi piwo.' (give me beer)

pjbear05
Spent the afternoon at Khoffner Brewing in Ft. Lauderdale, they grill up some hot dog or sausages on Sundays free for one and all. Rauf Khoffner is a third generation brewer that specializes in German beers brewed per Reitheitgesbot ( German pure brewing laws), but will go all over the map style wise. Started with a couple of lagers, but got turned to a Key Lime IPA that was light on both the limes and hops, very refreshing stuff. 4 pints and 2 hot dogs later, I was ready to go. Good crowd, including an older couple who brought their Scottish Terrier, who was served a dog dish of water by the bartender. Lovely place to stop for a pint. goose
Had a Bombay Sapphire gin martini last night, the first in probably ten years or more. Tasty, but more than one is dangerous.

pjbear05
Earlier in the week Total Wine email advised me that "truckloads" of beer from Great Lakes Brewing out of Cleveland would be in the stores. Stopped in yesterday and was not disappointed. Bells was also showing up strong, but still too early for Double Cream Stout. Grabbed a six of GLBC Dortmunder Gold and did a six mix of Ed Fitz Porter, Bells Amber, and some Bells Oktoberfest orphans. :hail: Edited November 18, 2018 by pjbear05
